Glaring at the Survivor he/him Posted May 21, 2014 Posted May 21, 2014 (edited) I looked outside at the sun today. It was red, and the sky was filled with smoke. The beginnings of ash, perhaps? Attached is a picture. Not a very good one since it was taken by my iPad. But I just thought, "Haha, red sun, Final Empire. Not too long before people walk around with spikes in their eyes." Khyrindor he/him Posted May 21, 2014 Posted May 21, 2014 It is an early spring evening so you decide to go for a stroll. Even though the grass is still brown and the leaves have not yet formed on the trees, it is still a lovely evening. You note with interest how misty it is outside, and watch the red sunset. You think to yourself, My, this is a lot like Mistborn. What's next, the ash? You keep walking and enjoy yourself, and then you actually start to see ash. You doubt your sanity until the mist starts to clear slightly and you notice a house burning a few hundred feet away. (Yes, this actually happened to me. I thought for sure I'd get spiked!) 6
Ibunnuk he/him Posted May 21, 2014 Posted May 21, 2014 Here in the UK we had a week last month where there was a thick fog/mist covering pretty much the full country (aparently something to do with a load of pollution from Europe) but I couldn't help thinking for the full week "how much harm could it do just to eat 1 nail??? you know just in case...." 1
GreyPilgrim he/him Posted May 21, 2014 Posted May 21, 2014 Harmony, no! Please spare my mortal soul!!
Glaring at the Survivor he/him Posted May 21, 2014 Author Posted May 21, 2014 And I'm sick. I wonder which Misting I will be?

king of nowhere Posted May 21, 2014 Posted May 21, 2014 I couldn't help thinking for the full week "how much harm could it do just to eat 1 nail??? you know just in case...." Depends. Mashed out in small pieces? not much. whole? a totally different story...

It's jut someone's home and all their worldly possessions burning to the ground." I'll have you know that I was in fact very excited to have awesome powers! concerned! But the house was already burned completely down, so there was nothing I could do. In hindsight I don't even know if it was a house...It was around the size of a shed or something. Ibunnuk he/him Posted May 22, 2014 Posted May 22, 2014 Depends. Mashed out in small pieces? not much. whole? a totally different story... it would have been ground down and used as seasoning in a Beef Madras. I may have thought about this a little bit too much 1
