Does an arm cut by a shardblade decomspose?

Several people live for a few days or weeks with burned out arms so I imagine no.  I personally like to think of the damage caused by blades as analogous to nerve damage that does nothing else.  You can't feel or move the arm or leg but it still has blood pumping through it.

They don't. Blood still flows and cells still multiply. It's the spiritual connection to the mind that's severed, not the physical parts of the limb. On the first cut, anyway.
