Not-So-Logicalspren he/him
I was recently going through a re-read of SA, and was reading the Ars Arcanum of WoR. In the Lightweaving section Khriss mentions that she was excited about lightweaving because it most closely related to the original magic on Yolen (sorry, I don’t have a direct quote, nor access to the book right now). Does this mean that all forms of investiture that we see existed in some form on Yolen before through Adolnasium before he was “killed” (don’t know the best word to use there)? RShara she/her
I don't think that all forms of investiture that we see existed on Yolen, but that some of the ones we have now have some resemblances to the ones on Yolen. They should all work on the same fundamental principles, after all. The Shattering would affect the manifestations, but it shouldn't have affected the underlying architecture. Kind of like being next door to a supernova. Locally, a lot of things will have changed--gravitational effects, orbits, etc. But the laws of physics still dictate how all that falls out.
