Miyabi She/Her Posted September 13, 2011 Posted September 13, 2011 Releases of Brandon's books in annotated versions. That way there could be little hypertext numbers to indicate which annotation fits right there.
SOM1else he/him Posted September 13, 2011 Posted September 13, 2011 I want to customize my Mistborn Ebook files to have the annotations placed at the end of each chapter, I don't know how much work that would take though...
Silus - Shard of Flame he/him Posted September 13, 2011 Posted September 13, 2011 Or maybe just a kind of Special Edition to the books with the Annotations in them. If not right after a chapter, then in the back. That would be cool. I would so buy that.
Alliare she/her Posted September 13, 2011 Posted September 13, 2011 I kind of think it would be maddening to read. ... but definitely better than reading the whole book, then going to the website and reading the whole annotations (which is what I do now).

Like give it really large side margins so that you can put the annotations out there. They've done it with other books before. I think it would be an excellent read if you've already read the books through once.
Silus - Shard of Flame he/him Posted September 13, 2011 Posted September 13, 2011 It would be better to have the annotations at the end for those who haven't read it. Then again, who picks up an annotated book for a first read-through? (other than reading Shakespeare, of course)
Zas678 he/him Posted September 14, 2011 Posted September 14, 2011 There is supposed to be a Warbreaker released with all of the annotations included with it. </ post from 4 years ago> The only trouble with margin-annotations is the spoilers (not to mention the limited market). Oh! But maybe you could have flaps over spoilers. Or an index in the back. But yeah, that would be sweet to actually have. Hmm... Maybe if I ever print out the Brandonothology, I could include the annotations.....
Miyabi She/Her Posted September 14, 2011 Author Posted September 14, 2011 Well yeah, the point is it is clearly labeled the "annotated version." Honestly, who buys annotated versions of things before they've already read it. xD
Feloxia she/her Posted September 14, 2011 Posted September 14, 2011 I think the annotations online are generally written to be read after each chapter, so the annotations would probably be at the end.
