Just to Clarify...Would burning pewter and iron/increase your "pushing" power?

Been wondering this since i finished the mistborn books, not sure if i missed something or if this is out of question.

Not to my knowledge no.  We see mistborn doing both at the same time because it allows their bodies to stand up to the strain of being pushed back on per Newton's second law.  Pewter increases your physical capabilities.

If you used iron to anchor yourself and pewter to keep from ripping yourself appart, you could push on something heavy without being thrown backwards. Vin does this when she opens the door to the Well of Ascension.

The pewter could only be used to help anchor yourself, but would not make your push any harder. Only Duralumin can do that.
