"Well, if we did, I wouldn't've cared if we did. Would I have cared? I'm not sure." K walked out of the doorway and stuck out his hand, attempting to mimic a handshake, though his fingers were pointing down as far as they would go. "My name is K. At least, that's what it says on my wrist here, anyways."

@I think I am here.

"Just doing my job" Yera said, pulling off her helmet. She looked to the doorway, noting the group gathered there. The mission director was there, along with the head scientist and chief of mission security. Civilians buched up behind them.

"Ah. Mr. Director, how good it is to see you. Please, come in, everything has been taken care off." The short man nodded to her and strode in. The others flooded in after him, taking seats at the oval table. Yera remained standing, arms crossed.

"If everyone would please take their seats." the director said, tapping commands into the console.

"Oh, about the standoff?" Yera asked, "Well," she held up five fingers "Five seconds till it's over."

she dropped a finger, "Four,

Three,

Two,

One,"

Her hand curled into a fist, and a group of Trident security officers burst in, brandishing rifles

"Game over," she said, motioning to the two armored men, who the officers surrounded. Yera smile widened, "I'd read you your rights, but you don't have any. At least the masked man doesn't. You're under corporate arrest, for stealing and damaging Trident property."

Jorel looked about calmly.  "I have no quarrel with you.  To my knowledge I did not damage anything, hurt anybody, or steal anything."  He looked thoughtful for a moment, "There is this power armor and my ship, of course, but that was years ago."  While he talked, he activated the cybernetics connected to his ship.  His ship pulled away from the dock, and hovered near the station.  Jorel continued, "However, if you don't let me walk out of here, my ship is going to blow a hole through this station, pitching us all out to space.  Are you afraid of death?  I'm not, and I have no qualms with destroying all of this."

Yera considered her options. She wasn't fast enough to draw and shoot her pistol before the fighter's cannons fired. She could try takling him, but that was unlikely to help in any way. There was only one option, then. She took a breath, steeling herself, then closed her eyes.

7 cybers detected in range. a deep voice rumbled in her head, Select targets.

Yera stared into the facemask of the masked man.

Target Acquired. Manipulation ready. Please confirm.

Confirm Yera thought coldly.

Confirmed. Manipulation engaged.

Yera's cybernetics locked on to the masked man's and forced their way through. A second data stream appeared in her head. That would be his power armor. Another, larger data stream flowed into her head. His ship. She accessed the weapon controls and disabled all exterior weaponry.

Throughout all of this, a headache poundeded in her skull. It abated somewhat when she remembered the merc would have an even bigger one. She finished and stopped the manipulation, collapsing into a chair.

Abel looked at the woman. Who’d apparently fainted in the middle of a tense moment?

“You know what I say?” Abel said. “I say we have a dance off.”

Jorel smiled behind the mask.  It appeared he had given her quite the ultimatum.  Until a massive headache pounded his skull.  He panicked as he thought of Yera hacking his cybernetics, and instantly told his ship to fire before he lost control and fell to the ground.

The moments seemed to pass like molasses for Jorel.  He dimly heard the stupid kid suggest a dance-off.  Wouldn't need that in a few microseconds.  The first blast ripped through the station a few levels below them, sending cargo shooting off into space.  The second blast would come soon, destroying the pressurized cabins.

Despite his brave words, Jorel really didn't want to die.  His power armor might be good for a few hours in outer space.  After a few hours, it would depressurize.  A few hours wouldn't help him if he had no way to get to his ship.  His armor was streamlined to where it had no propulsion system.  He could eject his oxygen, but there would be no way to control his path, and without oxygen, he couldn't make it through the complex locking system of his ship.  He could use cybernetics to fly his ship to him, but maneuvering it to where he was in front of the airlock would most likely melt him from the engine ejection.  He could throw a piece of his suit, but his speed would be much to slow to reach his ship in time.  He could find an escape pod before the room was destroyed, but there was no time.  Countless scenario's rushed through his mind and were rejected.

The second blast hit, destroying the rooms next to the briefing room, ripping a hole through it and sending it's occupants plummeting to certain doom.  The third blast hit above them, and the helm was sent screaming through space.  The fourth tore through the propulsion system.  The fifth scourged the antigravity drive from the station, causing it's orbit to degrade.

Like a sudden breath of fresh air, his cybernetics came back online.  He gave the command for his ship to cease fire immediately, but the sixth was already on it's way, screaming through space.  Headed right for the briefing room.  The ship's degrading orbit caused the blast to just miss them, hitting to the left of the room.  It pounded through the steel, hitting a cabin and tossing men out to painful death.

Then all was still.

Look at your new character sheet?

Yeh I did. What's diffrent?

The first one had basically only enhanced reflexes and integration, but this one has those and +40% strength, +40% speed, and +40% agility (the percentage can be moved between the three categories), along with a memory thing.

The only problem with that, is the fact that she totally disabled the weapon systems and locked him out. Actually, as soon as the ship had fired once, the station's defence turrets would enage and blow his ship out of the vacuum.

Actually, there are a lot of problems. The briefing room is located in the big wheel that provides gravity. The wheel spins. Even if the ship waited until the briefing room came back around, it probably would have been blown to pieces. Let's say he got one shot off before one of two things happened.

Either Yera shut down the weaponry, or the stations turrets blew it up.

As soon as the first shot had been fired, several turrets of the exterior of the station targeted the fighter's RCS system and destroyed it. Another, larger turret, destroyed the communications equipment. The spacecraft was dead in the vacuum. Then the railgun finished charging.

A titainum slug ripped through the fusion core, cutting off all power.

Really should've read th OP more thoroughly.  Let's have Yera shut it down because I rather like my ship.  Also, lets have the first blast destroy something important.  I was aiming for a situation that was dire, to show how our character's act under duress.

Jorel got up.  The ship had suddenly stopped firing after the first shot.  It had torn through the metal just a few levels above them.  He noticed that his suit was still moving with crisp speed, and that his cybernetics that connected to his suit had been unaffected by Yera's little hack.  He got to his feet and stood calmly, waiting for the others to recover.  This would not be easy to explain.  Especially if the blast had hit something important.  He reached out with his cybernetics, trying to find his ship's signal.  He'd need the leverage.  He picked up one of the soldiers that had rushed into the room, and his energy pistol emerged from his gauntlet.  He held it to the soldier's head, saying, "If anyone here makes a false move, your comrad dies."  He paused, looking a little guilty, than continued, "I don't want to kill anyone.  I didn't really want to have my ship destroy us.  You," he pointed to Yera, "Forced my hand with your hack.  Let's just see what was damaged, fix it, then go about our business."

A rifle pressed up against Jorrel's head.

"Don't move," a deep voice said, "If you value your head. Now, on your knees." the security officer gestured to his partner, who removed a set of renforced cuffs from a slot in his armor.

Here's a quick rundown of what they'll do to him.

Lock him in a cell for a few hours, let him stew, then they'll give him an ultamatum. Work with them on the expedition, or rot in a company prision in the asteroid belt.

Yera is probably gonna do that

Jorels suit cybernetics registered a cold pressure agains the side of his head.  He activated his external sensors on his left side, and noted the power rifle pressed agains his head.  Something like that would blow through his armor and splatter his brains all over the opposite wall.  He thought it odd that he was so calm about this.  He was about to spend the rest of his life in some asteroid prison camp, and he was taking it all very nicely.  He reluctantly released his hostage and and threw the pistol to the floor.  He stood up and put his hands up.  "I suppose you want me to take off my armor," he said, the sighed.

Abel looked with wide eyes, looking above him, at the terrorist, and the security guards.

“Well, we should get off this station, right? We’ve just been shot.”

He looked to the current situation, running a hand through his hair. “Some expedition this is, abd it hasn’t even started.”

"If you don't mind." the guard said.

A red light flashed in the hallway outside. The blast had hit a food storage compartment, and containers floated through the vacuum outside. Yera blearally tapped a keyboard on the table, pulling up an external camera. As she watched, a team of EVA units jetted out of a nearby personnel airlock. They pulled their way along the station until they reached the damaged compartment, then began gathering up the containers.

The mission director looked up from his communicator

"Needless to say we'll be postponing the meeting until tomorrow." he smiled uneasily, "You're all free to do whatever until then. Oh, I've been told to tell an civilians to please wait until tomorrow before leaving the station." he nodded to the assembled group and left, followed by most of the others.

"Great," Jorel said, "I'll just be off then."  He started forwards, but the gaurd hauled him backwards.  "Relax," he assured the man, "Just trying to lighten things up.  If I'm to spend the rest of my life in prison, might as well developed a sense of humor about it."  The guard relaxed just a bit, taking his finger off of the trigger.  Mistake number one.

You couldn't be a mercenary as long as he was and not pick up a few things.  As well as many forms of combat, unorthodox and orthodox, he'd learne the art's of blackmail, manipulation, and detective work.  One thing he was master at was fooling others as to the nature of his personality.  Make them underestimate you.  He had developed quite a knack for it once he'd taken to wearing a mask.  It made it impossible for anyone to ascertain his true feeling.  All they had to go on was his voice, which was modulated, and his body language.

The guard made him sit, and he went willingly and quietly, a man who had given in and was accepting it.  The guards were becoming comfortable around him.  Mistake number two.

He jumped up, snatching the rifle from the hand of the guard, and pointing it at the face of Yera, who he was right next to as a result of the jump.  His cybernetic-inhanced suit reacted much faster and was stronger than the guards, and he had her at gunpoint.  "Everyone drop your weapons or she gets it.  I'll cooperate if you tell me what's going on, but I'm not going to prison.  You either let me to the surface, or let me go."

Keep in mind that those guards are members of Yera's unit. They have the same cybernetics as her.

Yera smiled at the masked man, then stood up smoothly. A faint headache still throbed in her head, but it was no problem. She drew her pistol,

"I like you. Want a job?" she asked, offering the pistol to him.

Jorel braced himself for an attack as she stood, and was taken completely off guard by the job offer.  "I like you.  Want a job?" She asked.  If his suit had a jaw, it would've dropped to the floor.  He'd expected a full-out attack.  maybe an ultimatum.  But not deception.  Never subtlety.  He raised the gun to his shoulder and put his finger on the trigger.  "Don't play games with me," he said, "I didn't come down in the last meteor shower.  Let me go."

“Wait a second, what?” Abel looked back and forth between the terrorist and the security woman.

“You realise he was trying to kill us, shot down a part of the station we’re standing on, and is literally a terrorist? And you like him enough to offer him a position?”

It seemed even the terrorist was confused.

"Right now, I'm calling your bluff. You kill me, and my friends here will kill you. I'm totally expendable. Nobody cares if I die, except me. You have power as long as I'm alive, but kill me, and you'll die too. I was gonna offer you the choice of being shipped out to the mines, but you've crossed that option off the list by pure virtue." she tipped the barrel of his gun down, "So now you've got two options. Join with us as a contractor, or shoot me and die by my side."

she winked at the music man.

Jorel looked a bit unsure of himself after her speech, but it was hard to tell behind the mask.  To the kid who had just called him a terrorist he said, "I'm not exactly a terrorist.  I'm more of a bounty hunter.  You forced my hand by trying to detain me.  All I wanted was to get to the surface, but she," he pointed at Yera, "Tried to arrest me."  He looked surprised as she tipped the barrel of his gun down without fear.  "No one is expendable to themselves.  If you care about your own life, you'll order these men to stand down.  They follow your orders, and what's in your best interest.  Right now that's staying alive.  You've seen me give the order to fire upon this station, and I won't hesitate to take another life if it furthers my goals."  He hesitated for a moment, then said, "But the prospect of this job intrigues me.  If you'll pay me more than my previous employer, there'll be no hard feelings.  You know how my type works.  Grudges are for employers, I'm just a tool.  If this is a trick, believe me when I say I'll blow your head off and gladly die beside you."
