Brightness Jencee
I spend way too much time reading posts in these forums, so I figured I might as well register so I can ask a question now then. Having read all three SA books three times now, I am continually amazed by how much I miss.

+Invocation
Welcome to the Shard! Sav'saaba! (hooray Gerudo language!) Who was your favorite character from Stormlight?
Brightness Jencee
Favorite snack food...Ice cream, of course. Favorite character... That's a tough one. Main characters, Adolin or Renarin probably. There is more to them than we have yet seen. Side characters, The Lopen and Rock.
Ink
Sav’aaq, vai! (Or are you a voe?) Welcome! Would you like a Fortune Cookie, compliments of TUBA?
Gray to
Always nice to see a fellow Zelda fan in the forums! Have you read any other cosmere books?
Brightness Jencee
@Inklingspren Definitely Vai. Fortune cookie?
Brightness Jencee
@Gray to Warbreaker, Elantris, Emperor's Soul, Sixth of the Disk, Shadows for Silence in the Forests of Hell, Mistborn(everything published so far), Arcamum Unbound, White Sand(prose version). I've read a good chunk of Sanderson's non-cosmere books too. I like his writing style, what can I say. I probably need to branch out, lol.
Ink
A fortune cookie? Tis a cookie Invested with a high amount of Fortune, of course! Completely Hemalurgy free! Also, try not to post twice in a row. The mods aren’t huge fans of that, but it’s usually okay in the intros. You can edit old posts if you need to.
Brightness Jencee
@Inklingspren Thanks. It wouldn't let me tag people on my first couple of posts for some reason so I answered each individually. Now it works though. Bring on the fortune cookie.
Ink
Ah, makes sense. alrighty then. You open the Fortune cookie. there’s a slip of paper inside. It reads: One day, the Hero will return, and all will rejoice in their name. How this has anything to do with you, I don’t know. I’m just the guy being told what to write. you flip it over. your lucky numbers are: 5, 3, a chainsaw, 16, a strip of bacon, 9999 and one quarter, and a pickle in a jar of Mayonnaise. that’s all it says.
Brightness Jencee
Jesus is coming back, yay! Hopefully sooner rather than later. Someone needs to come fix this world! Pickle in a jar of mayonnaise... Um... Gross!!! Do you have any good thread recommendations on the hierocracy or recreance? The search tool hates me.
Ghanderflaffle
Welcome! Have you read any of Brandon's works outside of the cosmere? If so, which is your favorite?
Brightness Jencee
@17SarcasticGhanderflaffles That is a tough question. I would probably say the Rithmatist. I think the way he took the North American continent into the United American Isles and such is fascinating. I also really like the chalklings and detailed defense systems. I am very interested in springworks technology and wonder why it affects chalk creatures.
Ghanderflaffle
@Brightness Jencee I enjoyed Rithmatist, but Skyward is my favorite.
Brightness Jencee
@17SarcasticGhanderflaffles I liked Skyward a lot too. It is also full of mysteries to ponder, and at least there is a sequel on the horizon for it, lol. It's funny, I keep trying to mentally fit Skyward into the cosmere even though I know it's not. The magic system just feels so Shardic to me.
dejrasvu
I was very impressed by his ability to finish Robert Jordan's "Wheel of Time"
Brightness Jencee
@dejrasvu That's actually why I started reading him. I wanted to know what the author who would be completing Wheel of Time was like. Jordan made a good choice on that one. Now Sanderson is my favorite author in the fantasy realms.
