Stormcrown Posted January 19, 2019 Posted January 19, 2019 I don't really have a specific book I want to point towards, but I am consistently impressed by his ability to describe just how real depression/grief feels. Just wondering if anyone shares the opinion. 3
Xavier Iriarte he/him Posted January 20, 2019 Posted January 20, 2019 (edited) Absolutely. That is why Kaladin is my favourite character in the stormlight archive, the way Brandon talks about his depression without saying "This is Kaladin, he has depression" is fantastic. He just makes you feel it, it's easy to understand and internalize, i myself have felt like Kaladin many times and find impressive the skill with which Brandon portrays it. Brandon Sanderson is a genius. Edited January 20, 2019 by Xavier Iriarte 2
Embrisk he/him Posted January 20, 2019 Posted January 20, 2019 I agree. I love his "dead" flashes the most, when a character realised how many people have been killed by the author.
