WhiteEmporer Posted December 31, 2018 Posted December 31, 2018 *mistborn/Wax and Wayne spoilers* So far we've seen that Aluminum can block emotional allomancy, and that it can't be pushed or pulled by steel/iron. Can it intercept any kind of allomancy? If you put an aluminum sheet between a coinshot and a metal object, would he be able to sense or push it? How about bronze? would aluminum shielding block an allomancer from being sensed by a Seeker? Etc. I'd love to hear if there are any Words of Brandon to this effect, but theories are also welcome. It seems like we're just starting to learn what aluminum can do.
Ripheus23 Posted December 31, 2018 Posted December 31, 2018 Aluminum is a popular topic on this website, such that there is a secret subforum here called "the Aluminum Shard," accessible only to Alumancers. J/k but go to the Arcanum and search for "aluminum," you'll be rewarded. 1
RShara she/her Posted December 31, 2018 Posted December 31, 2018 Depending on the thickness of the aluminum, it can block all manner of things. So yes, yes, yes, and yes. https://wob.coppermind.net/adv_search/?query=aluminum&date_from=2003-12-05&date_to=2018-12-31&speaker=&ordering=-date 1
Scion of the Mists Posted January 3, 2019 Posted January 3, 2019 The Coppermind is also a great reference for questions like this: https://coppermind.net/wiki/Aluminum 1
WhiteEmporer Posted January 12, 2019 Author Posted January 12, 2019 Thanks guys! I suppose I could have just looked that up myself but I appreciate being pointed in the right direction. Also, aluminum is really complicated. Also, like ALL BRANDON MAGIC is really complicated 1
