If you are on your own profile, every time you refresh the counter adds one to your profile views. This seems strange.

Wfy? It's a counter on how many time that site is loaded.

I figured it was supposed to count how many times other people had looked at your profile. Not yourself artificially increasing that number.

It just counts how many times someone looks at your profile. I don't know if it's a huge deal if you refresh it to increase it. It barely makes a difference, and I don't know why you would be doing that anyways.
