"Brass," Pry told the formerly wood-ish woman, despite not being sure if she was listening since the topic had moved on. "I'm a brass ferring. Not much use except for surviving explosions - though that has been becoming more useful lately."

hey, could I have a summary of whats going on?

Riathor approached the front door of the building. Metals flared inside of him. Spheres clanked as they struck each other in his pocket.

Riathor smiled.

"Alright," Araha nodded. She couldn't remember if Feruchemy could store attributes from themselves or if they could store from other people, so she thought to ask. "Brass is heat, right? Can you store other people's heat or just your own?"

Just now, Gancho Libre said:

nothing much yet, Damaya, (Sorana's character) was kidnapped and transported here, but she was saved by a Space Marine lady (by Grey Knight), Araha, Deras (both my characters) and Pry (Silva's) is here too, we're all in that 'Kontor' room that you can see on the floor plan/map now we're just here trying to figure out why Damaya was a target, that's it for now

@Cyanic

“Only my own heat and I can’t share it with others,” she told her. “At least as far as I know.” No one had ever formally explained Feruchemy to her, she’d mostly figured it out on her own.

@Silva

"I see," Araha nodded again, "can you set things on fire? Pool all the heat onto a small spot on yourself and touching something flammable?" Araha caught her building excitement at discussing Investiture. Well, she'd need to know everyone's abilities as much as she could anyway, in case they were needed.

@Cyanic

“Never tried it, but I don’t know.” Pry tapped her chin in thought, the conversation was reopening her curiosity in how her abilities worked. “It would depend on whether my temperature physically changes when I use it. I haven’t ever found a time to experiment.”

"Alright. Got it," Araha replied, she found that she disliked uncertain variables, so for now, she'd have to assume that this girl couldn't set things on fire. "and I'm Araha," she told the young woman her name after a small pause.

@Silva

Araha opened her mouth, then hesitated, what if there was someone else listening? She looked to Deras, "Are there any presences besides us?"

The man took off his helm then stood silent for a while, "none, in immediate area," he said before equiping the helmet again.

Araha nodded, she could tell the young woman, who called herself Pry. She stepped close though, making sure to keep her voice low, but not a whisper. "I'm a windrunner, but I can also change my own color because of this ring." She briefly raised her hand with the ring, and demonstrated by turning her one forearm into a faded grey color with no texture.

"No, Epic tech, apparently. Allows me to change a things color for 3.5 minutes, but no one said I couldn't change the color of the thing I just changed before the time limit expired." Araha caught herself getting excited, this time, she couldn't justify it under the guise of knowing her companions' abilities since she was talking about her own, "let's talk about this later," she added.

@Cyanic

Pry wondered how Araha had ended up here in life and not studying Investiture.

There’s probably a story behind it. Pry thought and said to Araha, “looking forward to it.”

Damaya listened to the exchange and then smiled friendly at Pry. Although her smile still felt strained. It was strange, standing between dead people and exchanging introductions. And yet, if not now, she didn't know if there was another chance.
"I'm Damaya. The woman you slipped your drawing advice to. But I think you heard my name, when I introduced myself earlier."
she refered to her introduction to the armored woman in front of her.
"And officially I am a Lightweaver. But I wouldn't advice you to count on my surges at the moment."

“I did overhear that, but you could have given a fake name for all I knew,” Pry said. “And since I never got the chance, thanks for loaning me your room.” She looked around at the corpses yet again. “Did you kill them all or did...” she gestured to the Marine.

"She killed them. At least I think so. I believe she saved my life."

She laughed uneasily.

"I wouldn't have been able to kill them. And the name is real. Damaya is what my parents called me, my real parents. Not the people I grew up with."

she added defensively. This was what this lead to? Nobody even believed her name anymore? She stared at the corpses, feeling sick.

Pry stood silently for a minute. Damaya was receiving much less credit than she deserved. Losing people hurt, like them or not. She couldn’t even imagine how she’d react if anyone harmed any of her siblings. Not even Unity - the little miserable tyrant. A light wave of home-sickness washed over her once more.

Out here in danger instead of being around for them. At this point there should be two more that I’ve never met! Pry thought. No, Pry. She told herself, You have responsibility.

Pry bit her lip. There was nothing to say.

XD yeah

well whatever direction it takes, if they do become three friends that would be very different for me as I mostly write in duos, and the most character development/relationships I've had in past RP's were duos, so it would be interesting to see!

First: I apologize for my long absence. School was... well, school. I'll try to keep up with this in the future.

Second: Let's get this thing going!

She stepped up to woman, observing her for a moment. She had to look up and most of what she saw was the armor, and yet she took these few seconds and really looked at her.
"I am not standing screaming in a corner, so I guess that counts as holding up fine."

...

"and if I read this situation right, you saved my life earlier. I want to express my thanks for that. If can be of any kind of assistance regarding your current situation, then please let me know and I will try to help you as far as I am able to do so with good concience."
For a moment she thought about dropping a slight curtsy, but decided against it. They were still standing in a room full of corpses. Maybe that was a bit too formal for the occasion.
"And if you know what's going on then I would be delightened if you decided to share your knowledge with us."

"I dinnae know muuch mor than yu," the space marine said, dropping down to eye level with Damaya. She pressed a hand to her bloody side, wincing.

"The old drake assigned me tae track yu after the saecond Chaos incursion," she continued. "I detected a telepaert haeppening, and warped tae the homin' beacon. Yu can see hae well thaet turned oot."

She looked around at the blood-splattered room, then back to the group.

"Alright," she said, sounding tired. "Ahm' no expehrt in human architecture, but heretics always seem tae find the deepest hole thaey caen. If we wahnt answers, they'll be oonderground somewhere. Ahnyone have this hoose's schematics?"

Just happy that you've replied!

Araha looked to Damaya waiting for an answer since she's the most likely person to know about the place.

Deras suddenly spoke. "This ground floor. Have other floors?" He asked, but even before getting an answer, he suggested: "can dig straight down, might surprise attack?"

"No, no," Araha replied, "I don't doubt your strength but it'd be better for us to know where we're going and how we'll deal with it before actually dealing with it. In any case, the letters had the address, but not the schematics," Araha realized something, looking to the Space Marine woman, "I have the letters here that lead me to here, do you want to see them? Might help shed light on this whole thing." She said, putting her bag down and rummaging through to find the letters, "I have the information copied, as a backup," she said to no one in particular as she found the letters.

It's all right! Just take the time you need!

Damaya saw Arahas glance, the expectation behind her eyes. Cellar. The woman was talking about a cellar. Most houses had a cellar. Maybe they should look for a trapdoor in the floor, or some stairs. It couldn't be too difficult to find a way? She felt Coru buzz slightly, reminding her of something else.
"I am your own personal expert at not facing memories."
she whispered to herself, but she knew Araha would understand the reference to their conversation earlier. Turning away she walked over to a wall and pressed her hand against it, stared at the stones. At the stones because they were safe, they were stones nothing else. She took one deep breath, and a second one. Then she forced herself too look around the room. Once, twice. She knew this room. Knew it by her heart. She had spent a lot of time in here, writing down goods, checking if a delivery was complete and of a good quality. She knew where the cellar was, how to access it. She knew what was below. Or at least part of it. Another deep breath. She had wanted to leave, to turn her back on this and never come back. To leave him and his schemes, to finally be free. And here she was.
"Mai."
Coru's voice was quiet, almost too quiet to be heard.
Damaya looked up, back at Araha, at the nice girl next to her. At the the woman, that was obviously in pain, but that had been sent by someone to look out for her. She wasn't alone anymore. The thought calmed her and she straightened up, walked back to them.
"I know where the cellar is. And I think I can reproduce something resembling a map."
Opening her bag she pulled out a sheet of paper and a carbon pencil.
"I'm not sure if the messurements are right, and there is a large part I've never even took a step into. The storage area down there is large and filled with goods, sorted by the day they arrived."
She started with the outline of the house and continued.
"There are two guards around here all the time. The head servant. Three maids and two other servants, looking after the man and the woman, and one of the maids was responsible for me. The cook and two kitchen girls, although one of the kitchen girls usually also goes to the market and buys the food. One gardener, although he also repaired whatever was neccessary. Then we have another man, but he doesn't live here. He is only here during the day and help with the business. He is usually around close to the man, either in the first floor in his private study, or down in the cellar. He is said to have a small room down there, and I think I know where it is, but I never entered it."
Finishing the map she help it up for everyone to see.
"This is the large storage area. Over there we have the wine cellar, although there is also beer in there. This door is always locked, and this small room should be the study of the assistant. There is also an additional food storage area. I can show you the way to the stairs, if you want to."
And hopefully, the man would be far, far away conducting his business.

=========================

A young man, dressed in servants cloths left the house and approached Riathor.
"I must ask you to leave these premises. This is a private space."
he informed him loudly, then stepped closer, as if the show him the way out, dropping his voice to a whisper.
"Your friends entered through a window close to the porch. They are in the kontor at the momemt. And whatever you plan to do, you need to be quieter. The guards already heard you."
He stepped back and gestured towards the main entrance to the premises.
"Like I said, you need to leave now."
his voice once again lound and easy to hear.

Araha kept rummaging in her bag as Damaya spoke, she sighed to herself: More directions, though at least other people were here or else she'd be lost, she was worried earlier when she came that Damaya might've been held in another room which was partially the reason why she let Ran lead.

"What sorts of threats do you think we'll find?" Araha asked her friend, as she finally pulled out a couple of documents, just ready to hand it to the Space Marine if she wanted to see them, it was likely she already knew about them, but if she was really opposing the Chaos Marines, she probably didn't yet. Araha continued: "If it's just guards, we can probably handle the lot of them," she looked toward Deras, "non lethally." She stated.

"Of course," Deras commeted with a nod.

"but yeah," Araha continued then looked at Damaya, "we've dealt with worse before." She wanted to ask if her friend was okay, but also didn't want to in case she wasn't okay and that would only make her more not-okay.

Just now, Sorana said:
