Andrew the Great he/him Posted November 4, 2010 Posted November 4, 2010 Well yeah. And honestly, I'd be reading Dragonsteel for the cosmology. I'd heard Brandon say it was mediocre as well. But I happen to be an overly obsessive fan, so....
Chaos he/him Posted November 4, 2010 Posted November 4, 2010 Would it be bad if I said some of the cosmology stuff is jaw droppingly fascinating? I think that might torture you who haven't read it. ...Ooops
Andrew the Great he/him Posted November 4, 2010 Posted November 4, 2010 Only until I can get my hands on it.... Which, theoretically, shouldn't be long with me being at BYU and all....
Chaos he/him Posted November 4, 2010 Posted November 4, 2010 I'm not certain BYU has a copy again , since a person kept/destroyed the other. Not sure if they have another yet.
mycoltbug Posted November 4, 2010 Posted November 4, 2010 I can tell you it's quite fun to converse about different things with Chaos about it. There is alot of Cosmology stuff to be found if we had more eyes on it. But it does lead to some interesting questions that I've been able to ask Brandon about.
Puck he/him Posted December 8, 2010 Posted December 8, 2010 would make even more sense if Shadesmar is the cognitive realm In a B&N interview, Brandon said the following: I don't to bore you with my made up philosophy, but I do have a cohesive metaphysical reasoning for how my worlds and magic works. And there is a single plane of existence--called Shadesmar, the Cognitive Realm--which connects them all.
PeterAhlstrom he/him Posted December 27, 2010 Posted December 27, 2010 Nobody except Brandon has ever read all of Liar of Partinel. His writing group got about 75% of it, and those people are not going to talk.
Chaos he/him Posted January 8, 2011 Posted January 8, 2011 Nobody except Brandon has ever read all of Liar of Partinel. His writing group got about 75% of it, and those people are not going to talk. And rightfully so, if Adonalsium was Shattered at its ending.
PeterAhlstrom he/him Posted January 10, 2011 Posted January 10, 2011 As I understand it, that does not happen at the end of that book.
