Ketek Posted April 24, 2014 Posted April 24, 2014 (edited) But Nightblood's different. Sure, he's like a puppy--a psychopathic puppy--but he's never gonna give you up or let you down, or tell a lie or kill you. I did not come here to be rickrolled! I AM SO DONE WITH THIS THREAD. Kobold King he/him Posted April 24, 2014 Posted April 24, 2014 I did not come here to be rickrolled! I AM SO DONE WITH THIS THREAD. "Hello," a cheerful voice says in your mind. "Would you like to listen to some Rick Astley today?" 4
Edgedancer he/him Posted April 24, 2014 Posted April 24, 2014 Nightblood´s live has (or will) changed quite a bit. For one, he no longer is together with Vasher and given how fixated he seems on his past impressions (he still thinks that Shashara his creator is proud of him) I doubt that he will like that. He might just pretend that whoever owns him at the moment is Vasher or at the very least not shut up about him. He will, however, be a happy about being used and that might be dangerous. Think about it. The childlike NB might just act like a small child and prefer the "parent" that gives him what he wants and for NB that is being used. Many think that he will have a positive influence on Szeth but there is also a chance that the sword may become corrupted by the killer. 1

Never forget that the Szeth/Nightblood union was concocted by the man who tried to execute Lift. Nale may not be worthy of our trust. It may be in his best interest to corrupt both Szeth and Nightblood.
Crazy Mraize Posted April 24, 2014 Posted April 24, 2014 (edited) Won't it be great when Zahel awakens Adolins shard, and as Adolin prepares for a duel and begins talking to the blade it responds "yo, what's the deal with you and Shallan? My command was 'be therapeutic'." Edited April 24, 2014 by Crazy Mraize 6

It may be in his best interest to corrupt both Szeth and Nightblood. But also recall, whenever anyone picked up Nightblood in the novel he'd respond the same way. The question is the will of the holder. Vasher knew to ignore (and sometimes he nearly failed) the power of Nightblood. Can Szeth, who is no longer truthless, think for himself and have flexibility in his personal code? My guess is that Nightblood will seek out Vasher if he is within proximity - say if Szeth is sent after Adolin for murdering Sadeas Edited April 24, 2014 by Crazy Mraize 1

Lady Radagu she/her Posted April 25, 2014 Posted April 25, 2014 I did not come here to be rickrolled! I AM SO DONE WITH THIS THREAD. How about stickrolled? Is that okay? Nightblood's supposed to destroy evil, not serve it! And what better way to destroy all "evil" in hearing range than to belt out a little Rick Stick Astley? Surely it would be at least as effective as his usual method engage all bystanders in a fight to the death. 3
