We've seen the Ones Above in Sixth of the Dusk, but in order to reach First of the Sun through space they need to travel through the asteroid belt in the Drominad system.

Any ideas on how they can do that?

Maybe they flew over it?

Realistically, they probably just flew straight through without seeing any asteroids.  Asteroid belts are much less dense than depicted in most artistic representations.

seconded.  Star Wars got it pretty wrong.  Asteroid Belts generally look less like a minefield of rocks and more like a slightly less empty expanse of space.  and worst case scenario, if you are moving fast enough for interstellar travel, you can probably move out of the plane of the asteroid belt then back in to get to the planet you are aiming at.  3 dimensional travel is eaiser in space than on a planet.

As mentioned, unless the Drominad System looks especially weird the Ones Above could simply maneuver out of the plane that the planets and the asteroid belt are on and thus never worry about running the latter. To quote that great source of astronomical knowledge, HHGTTG, space is big, really big. And comes in three dimensions.
