darniil he/him Posted August 24, 2011 Posted August 24, 2011 I've never typed any up before, but I figured since I was skimming the Mistborn books to get character info, I may as well type up some summaries, too. Here's what I have so far. Let me know what you guys think. I wanted to include characters, too, just because I wanted to keep track of everyone who made an appearance. I don't know if it's really important enough to include in the wiki, but I'll certainly keep it for my own reference at the very least. (Same deal with the "Other Notes".)
Joe ST he/him Posted August 25, 2011 Posted August 25, 2011 That's a pretty awesome start, though one thing Eric and I have agreed is that the chapter summaries are going to include the epigraphs. Thanks ever so much Joe
darniil he/him Posted August 25, 2011 Author Posted August 25, 2011 Okay, I'll add the epigraphs, too. That's not hard.
darniil he/him Posted August 26, 2011 Author Posted August 26, 2011 My apologies for the double post, but I'm not sure if edits would be noticed. For these summaries, where should I put them? Should I put them in http://coppermind.17thshard.com/wiki/Mistborn:_The_Final_Empire , or should I make a new page for them?
Chaos he/him Posted August 26, 2011 Posted August 26, 2011 I'd put it in a new page to be consistent. So, Mistborn: The Final Empire/Summary, The Well of Ascension/Summary, The Hero of Ages/Summary.
Comatose he/him Posted August 28, 2011 Posted August 28, 2011 Would any of my Final Empire notes from the RP be useful in the Wiki?
darniil he/him Posted August 28, 2011 Author Posted August 28, 2011 I'm sure anything that's canon - from the books - could be useful. I'm sure there's some RP stuff that pertains only to the RP, but anything that's from the books could certainly help.
darniil he/him Posted August 30, 2011 Author Posted August 30, 2011 If I could, I'd like to get some opinions on this: http://coppermind.17thshard.com/wiki/Talk:Mistborn:_The_Final_Empire/Summary#Chapter_6_Oddities You can either leave your comments here or on the Talk page. Some spoilers are mentioned there, just in case anyone hasn't actually read the Mistborn Trilogy.
LevenThumps Posted January 31, 2012 Posted January 31, 2012 There is a format for Book Chapters I've seen on another sight that was pretty neat. They made a page for each chapter for the Stormlight Archive series. This wiki doesn't have to do it, but its something to think about stormlightarchive.wikia.com/wiki/The_Way_of_Kings:_Chapter_1
Joe ST he/him Posted January 31, 2012 Posted January 31, 2012 Hey there LevenThumps, thanks for the suggestion That format was probably copied from the Wheel of Time wikia which does the same thing We decided on a single page per book so as to allow people to do text-search easily on the whole book at once This is because the mediawiki search functionality is less usable Joe
Chaos he/him Posted February 1, 2012 Posted February 1, 2012 Also, I sort of feel that in doing that, Stormlight wiki artificially increases its article count with not as much content.
