I don't know if the entire Last Legion was comprised of Nightform singers (I doubt it) but they for sure had some among them. One of the songs says that the Nightform predicted a new storm to come. If the Listeners knew of this a Nightform must have told them. This really excites me. On Unmade and the potential for being bondsmith spren, I'm not sure. I think it comes down to the spren in question. We know that a Nahel-like bond with an Unmade is possible, we've even seen one almost succeed. Re-Shephir tried to rip Pattern from Shallan and insert herself in his place. Would the result have been similar to a Bondsmith? I don't think so. But since we suspect Ba-Ado-Mishram to be the most powerful of the Unmade it's certainly possible. To clarify, I don't think there was a singer Bondsmith at the time of the capture of BAM, but that she just had strong connection to most singers. Also, isn't it interesting that the name BAM contains Ado, which sounds like Adoda, which we know to mean light? As in the Voidlight she supplied? And Mishram sounds a lot like Mishim and Ishi. Did we ever find out what that the root of those names meant? Great catch! For Ishi we know it refers to the 10th essence and is associated with Bondsmiths and Ishar the Bondsmith Herald. Something ~bond. https://coppermind.net/wiki/Glyphs BAM bonds to Singers spiritwebs which is why it's imprisonment had the spiritual lobotomy effect that it did. Mishim is one of the moons and the moons are associated with Ishar in the endpage painting. There are three moons and can only ever be three bondsmiths because of the three superspren they can bond. Is this coincidence or something else? Why does their Herald have a similar name to one of the moons, did they rename a moon to include "ishi" or was he named for the moon? I'm with Ishar in this picture, ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ 3
ScavellTane Posted October 1, 2018 Author Posted October 1, 2018 (edited) Quote "But as for Ishi’Elin, his was the part most important at their inception; he readily understood the implications of Surges being granted to men, and caused organization to be thrust upon them; as having too great power, he let it be known that he would destroy each and every one, unless they agreed to be bound by precepts and laws." Somehow I think the Recreance (the death of the Radiant spren) had something to do with this particular epigraph. Which I believe refers to the spren in particular and not to the Order as a whole. .S.A.M.K.M Posted October 14, 2018 Posted October 14, 2018 I think bondsmith and unmade are key to a chance of victory. They just did it in the wrong direction, bind all the unmade to the Fused. Use odium own power against him, there is a reason why odium has no bondsmith equivalent. Seperate they are broken, incomplete or simply damaged. But bound together, the cracks and holes in them would be healed, like the storm healed the parshmen. Many of the unmade have an influence on the mind/spirit. But there are a couple that could allow the fused to form a whole new body of their own. So the living listerners would be safe from them. before this new storm, the fused were not bound together, but now they are each bound to this storm, allowing them to be reborn each time it returns.
