Madara Uchiha Posted March 24, 2014 Posted March 24, 2014 I'm new to the cosmere and was wondering why adonalsium shattered......it started by reading a interview by brandon where he said that adonalsium was broken by a outside force.......before this I had assumed that the cosmere was just a leaf connected to a tree......the tree being God and the other leaves being other universes.....and when sometimes leaves die and break away from the tree and when it does breaks adonalsium shatters......but if God was shattered by a outside force then it brings up many questions......what is strong enough to shatter God...... 1

There has to be some anti-God (though Adonalsium might not be really a god - we just call him that because it's easy to think of it this way), or some organization whose combined power is enough to shatter him.

Or, alternatively, Adonalsium was trapped into some sort of emotional trap or forced to act against their nature by a cleverly made trap and he shattered himself. Like the KR betraying their oaths shatters that bond.
