SzethIsBadAsHell he/him
On another thread today I asked myself why is Odium so determined to see the humans on Roshar destroyed. I mean in the past Odium splintered the shard and moved on! Someone suggested he is trapped in this System and can’t leave until Honor’s representative agrees to free him. This raises a question as to what would happen if Odium is freed. As I didn’t want to change the topic of that thread , I started this thread. So what would happen if freed? Would Odium be so mad because of his imprisonment he would destroy Roshar? Or, would he stay long enough to pop cultivation’s shard and then leave?im really thinking the latter! So what happens when Odium leaves? Will the Fused be destroyed by default? We know Odium power is what tether’s the Fused cognitive shadows. With Odium gone willl those tetheres remain or will they dissolve? With the Fused gone won’t there be a better chance at peace. I Say Dalinar should let him go . Let him become Another Shards problem. You never know Harmony although not experienced might just splinter old Rayse and solve everyone’s problem ! Thoughts ....? ! Calderis he/him
He'd go after Cultivation and leave and continue doing exactly what he has been until there's no shard left... And then he'd find something else to hate. And no, Harmony wouldn't Splinter him. SzethIsBadAsHell he/him
So I say let him have her , then he would be gone. Would the unmade and the Fused still be sustained without him? Or would they finally go to the beyond!
Calderis he/him
Dalinar, the man who seems to be partially ascending to Honor, step aside and allow a dire threat to run loose? I don't think it would happen. I don't think it should happen. Either Odium does the same thing somewhere else and is finally dealt with or he moves on and on, and eventually come back because there's something else he hates enough to destroy. Rayse isn't just going to stop. 9 minutes ago, SzethIsBadAsHell said: Would the unmade and the Fused still be sustained without him? Or would they finally go to the beyond! He could leave and they'd be fine, but he won't. He'll withdraw his power as fully as he can, because every ounce of power left behind is less available to throw at his next target. This is why I think Sja-anat truly wants to defect. She realizes that victory for Odium is death for her and all of her children.
Szmit
Odium said himself that if he was freed he would destroy Cultivation, Honor's splinters and reorganise Roshar. Dalinar could probably make a deal that would guarantee Rosharian humans safety, but even that would cause a lot casualities of Roshar.
SzethIsBadAsHell he/him
Of course I don’t want to see Dalinar let him go! I was attempting to be Pragmatic and theorize the path were most people are saved ( by people I mean Humans and. Singer) . I would love to see Cultivation get splintered , Dalinar take over the splinters of Cultivation and Honor and become Unity. Then being I’m from Texas , I would to love to see Dalinar put a. Good old fashion country red-neck butt whipping on Odium . Yeah nothing would make happier. Speaking on sJa-anat I’m about to make a post concerning her
Calderis he/him
I don't think Dalinar needs anything beyond Honor to be Unity.

I think Odium is way to experienced a shard and powerful for Dalinar to take on solo. I would feel better if he had Cultivation’s power to back him up . I guess the same could happen if Dalinar and Cultivation joined forces. To fight him .
