kateydidnt Posted August 11, 2011 Posted August 11, 2011 (edited) Hello all! I'm Kateydidnt. I'm really glad I stumbled onto this site because I just finished Way of Kings and have no one to talk to about it with! My roommate hasn't read it yet which leaves me annoyed that I can't discuss all the crowning moments of awesome contained therein. I first got into Sanderson's work when, about five years ago, a roommate handed me this book called Elantris and told me it was by her creative writing professor (lucky duck!). I've been hooked ever since. I've read most of his published work now (working my way through WoT--how's that for author appeal? I never had the desire to read Wheel of Time until Brandon was selected to complete it). I'm planning on haunting the BYU library at some point when Dragonsteel is in so I can read that too. Other than that I lead a pretty boring life--I spend a lot of time working and a lot of time reading and very little time socializing. Looking forward to having some fun here! Joe ST he/him Posted August 11, 2011 Posted August 11, 2011 Other than that I lead a pretty boring life--I spend a lot of time working and a lot of time reading and very little time socializing. That is uncannily different to how I spend my time hehehe, great to have you hear Katey. Joe
Chaos he/him Posted August 12, 2011 Posted August 12, 2011 Hey Katey, good to have you here. Your story is pretty similar to how I got into Brandon's stuff, though I haven't delved into the Wheel of Time (yet). I'm Chaos, the friendly forum administrator and the theory guy. I'm sure I'll see you around a bunch!

I'm sure I'll see you around a bunch! Friendly....but at what price..... I stalk all the ladies. What price indeed. (that's right, i'm bringing it back. It's been too long since i've used this particular Chaos-branded quote) Anywho, welcome to the forums! You'll find that we're (mostly) harmless around here! How far are you into the wheel of time? I'm currently going back through all of them in audio book format in anticipation of the final book, i've been a fan of the series for years. 1
Gagylpus he/him Posted August 13, 2011 Posted August 13, 2011 Welcome! Ahaha I love tvtropes. In addition to all the scenes listed there, another one I love is when Jasnah soulcasts the men in the alleyway, and another when Shallan figures out Jasnah's secret. Can't wait for SA2.
