One time Magical effects, subjected to nothing else but physics and the initial push. I compare Lashing in the same sense. Keep in mind that lashing changes gravity direction, so it is a constant acceleration applied to Kaladin as long as he retains the lashing (and has storm light to maintain it), vs. an initial push force that gets him going in a direction.

Although on a round world, the other side of the world would just be whatever point on the surface of the world that is 180 degrees away from your current position.

Some people will think its flat though, I don't doubt that. People today think that and we have all manner of evidence against it. Thankfully, I’m pretty sure that the overwhelming majority of them are poes. At least the ones you see ‘debating’ the subject online. That said, I think it’s pretty safe to assume that people will have figured out the shape of Roshar; it actually doesn’t require any kind of advanced technology to do so. If nothing else, scholars like Jasnah would know. Plus, considering that Roshar is supposedly only about 70% the size of Earth (or at least only 70% as massive), Windrunners and Skybreakers probably could see the planet’s curvature by lashing themselves high enough. +Invocation Posted August 6, 2018 Posted August 6, 2018 (edited) Shallan doesn't (or didn't as of WoR) know that Roshar was round. Quote A numb part of her worried that the light was really Nomon, the second moon. That she'd march toward it and fall off the edge of Roshar itself. -Words of Radiance, p.161 Whether that is the general assumption or Shallan just doesn't know, better I don't know for sure, but it seems she would know if anyone did between the time in the Palaneum and with Jasnah. Or maybe she was just in shock post-shipwreck. Or is referring to only the continent. Edited August 6, 2018 by Invocation
