So everyone else seems to know exactly what you mean, but...what windows are we talking about?  I don't remember any windows.  His visions of the future?

Yes, I was speaking of his future sight. When we see it from his PoV it appears like windows that form in the air, some with writing below them.

Quote

He knelt in the ancient temple of Pailiah, and to his eyes it was full of colors. A thousand panes of stained glass sprouted on the walls, combining and melting together, creating a panorama. He saw himself coming to Thaylen City earlier in the day. He saw Dalinar talking to the monarchs, and then he saw them turning against him.

Quote

Renarin couldn’t control what he saw or when he saw it. He had learned to read so he could understand the numbers and words that appeared under some of the images. They had shown him when the Everstorm would come. They had shown him how to find the hidden compartments in Urithiru. Now they showed his death.

I suppose it never calls them windows, but that's my visualizing panes of stained glass.

This doesn't seem to follow to me.  Well, maybe if you believe that seeing the future is entirely of Odium, but we know that Honor could do it too and that Cultivation was better at it than Honor was.  Since Truthwatchers seem to be the Order closest to Cultivation next to the Edgedancers, it doesn't seem much of a stretch to conclude that the Truthwatchers could see glimpses of the future naturally.  They probably just weren't supposed to talk about it much.

As you say, seeing the future isn't literally 'of Odium'. The other Shards can do it and anyone in the Cosmere with a way to access the Spiritual Realm can have a form of it as well. However, there does not currently appear to be any combination of Surgebinding powers that works in such a way. We assume that what Renarin is doing is not typical of the Truthwatchers for a couple reasons. First, Ivory explicitly says that Renarin "sees not what is, but what is to come. Odium's power.". Thie clear implication here is that a Truthwatcher is not supposed to see the future, but the present. Also, we have a recording in the Gem Archive that implies the exact same thing. Specifically, they say "Don't tell anyone. I can't say it. I must whisper. I foresaw this.". In other words, they saw the future but they can't allow others to know that they did. We know the speaker was a Truthwatcher because the stones correspond to the Order of the Radiant speaking and the recording was noted to be a 'particularly small emerald'.
