[OB] Who is Fleet

Naurock

Question

So I was thinking about the story of Fleet and remembered how at the end of the story he became the rider of the storms. Is it possible Fleet was Nohadon? Maybe this is why Dalinar seems to hear voices besides the Stormfather, and even had the dream where Nohadon guided him?

I mean, how else could someone outrun a Highstorm? By being a surgebinder and being constantly infused to allow them superhuman endurance.

@Naurock, when I first read it I assumed he was talking about the stormfather, as it talked about how he joined the winds and ran with them forever, but as I read farther I realized this is obviously not the case. My current belief is that Fleet was (is?) a windrunner or a skybreaker in ancient times. It could be possible that he now lived in Silverlight or travels the cosmere 'riding the winds'. It would also make logical sense that he was an edgedancer, as it never talked about him being able to fly, he supposedly ran. And racing the winds seems like something an edgedancer would do. When Lift became totally slicked, the winds didn't even touch her. The counter to this theory is he wouldn't need stamina, as he could just slide, so he wouldn't have died. Either Radiant order, I believe that he was real, and he may still be alive. Reading that passage, I just felt that it would have significant meaning in the future of the Cosmere.

Radiant's are not immortal. And their spren cannot leave the Roshar system (at least it is not currently known how, but tricks might allow it), so its unlikey he would have left for Silverlight or other places. If he was real, which I don't think he was, he's almost certainly dead.
