Vague title in case people get the wrong idea.

Is Ashyn destroyed or just uninhabitable?

Was pondering and wondering what happens in the cognitive realm if a planet is destroyed.

Does it go to the beyond itself? Could you still visit its cognitive version? Say it also has beads [not sure what form its objects would take, microbes?] would these still be there, as their form would still hold as long as people view them as such, correct?

Ashyn was razed (haha) pretty badly, but according to the unpublished Silence Divine, it still exists and is inhabited.

A planet that no longer had any life forms would slowly shrink until it was just a small patch of ground in the CR, similar to a moon or other uninhabited planet that people are aware of but don't live on.

If there aren't people around to perceive individual objects, I think it would just be the patch of ground representing the planet.

@RShara +1 for Pun.

The planet still has some humans right, in the floating cities?

How do you think these would appear in the cognitive?

Probably not dissimilar from normal cities. Of course we don't know how the Ashlyn' CR looks at all so It's hard to speculate more

The floating cities are upside down, looking up at the ground and down at the sky. That's how i imagine the CR. The ground is up, with basically sky everywhere as the ground, and little Islands of solid ground where the floating cities are.

I feel like it would be the inverse of that. With land everywhere except for a few patches of whatever where the cities are. I mean, the CR is shaped by perception, yeah, so the people living in the cities would be thinking their ground was "down" and the planet was "up" so that should be reflected in the CR.

But I honestly have no idea how that would manifest, other than the usual land/sea inversion.  Would there be like...patches of "ocean" floating around?
