sonNeturo he/him Posted March 14, 2014 Posted March 14, 2014 In the Words of Radiance Epilogue Hoid says that he spent 6 months in a stomach being digested. I really hope this mean that at some point during Dragonsteel he gets swallowed by a Dragon, maybe even the recipient of the letter. Your thoughts on this. 3
sonNeturo he/him Posted March 15, 2014 Author Posted March 15, 2014 What's Jonah? Am I missing something?
Mysty she/her Posted March 15, 2014 Posted March 15, 2014 Jonah, a prophet from the bible who spent three days in the belly of a whale. I thought of Jonah as well, but why on earth would Hoid know earth's biblical stories? Isn't the cosmere a completely separate universe? There has to be an in world explanation. 1
sonNeturo he/him Posted March 15, 2014 Author Posted March 15, 2014 No, this is just Wit replying to Jasnah saying "Tell me what you know Wit" and him saying that it is a thing that he knows (him being snarky), I thought it was a reference to Dragonsteel.
AerionBFII he/him Posted March 15, 2014 Posted March 15, 2014 Hoid has that effect on people. Even Frost.
Adamantame he/him Posted March 15, 2014 Posted March 15, 2014 I am thinking that Hoid is refferring to the dragon on Yolen.
bartbug he/him Posted March 15, 2014 Posted March 15, 2014 I read a WoB that said if Hoid lost his head, it would regrow. I have a feeling that he could survive digestion.
wordspren Posted March 15, 2014 Posted March 15, 2014 It seems likely that he will get swallowed by a dragon in Dragonsteel.
HydrogenAlpha he/him Posted March 15, 2014 Posted March 15, 2014 I think we shouldn't take 'digested' literally. Maybe it's a metaphor ... some dragon gave him a hard time for around 6 months. I never read Dragonsteel but i think the dragons are pretty sentient from what i've heard, maybe he was a apprentice of a pretty 'difficult' dragon ( idk what a dragon would teach you but i'm far too deep into this comment to stop ). 1
