It's the most awesomist thing ever!

Ok, maybe not that. But it does do a good job of telling a new visitor about the site, which is presumably the purpose of an about page, so I like it.

The site opened its doors in a rocky state in the summer of 2010, and the Mistborn RPG was quickly folded into 17th Shard. In February 2011, we upgraded our software, and made the site about fifty times better (just ask about our initial main page--it was bad).

You probably assumed no one would take you up on your bluff, but you assumed wrong: just what was the initial main page like? Screanshots would be nice, but I'll settle for a nice description of the horror.

(All joking aside, I am honestly curious what the old site was like. Didn't show up here till June of this year.)

well, I don't have screenshots or anything, but I can describe (and sort of paraphrase my old criticism) of it from back then.

It was very....blue. The color scheme consisted of only like two shades of blue (i know we still have a lot of blue, but the shades are significantly more varied now, and work well, i think), also it reminded me of an old geocities site from the 90's. Really basic and not a whole lot of "new" feel to it. I know that doesn't give you a whole lot to go with, but trust me when i say it's like a million times more pleasing to the eye than it was back then.

Edit: also - Eero is the greatest thing since sliced bread, and Silus is his indentured manservant for life.

Truth be told I don't pay enough attention to that sort of thing to remember very well, but I can confirm that everything Eero says is true.

That Twitter feed never worked, though.

Our forums used a similar color scheme. Definitely a lot bluer.

It also didn't have all the pretty pictures it has now (I beleive the icons were Aon Omi), and the forums were less varied than they are now.

Hahahahaha! I forgot about the old main page. Ah, and didn't there used to be an old "click here" redirect page to get anywhere, or am I making things up? I love the intro in Spanish. Who made it?

Ryan did. The Spanish intro was never live on the site, but I don't have any screenshots of what was live.
