Sauceborn
Anyone wonder what the other 16 metals are, the ones you get from combining the God Metals? Mebe their effects and powers? Edited April 1, 2018 by Sauceborn
Yata
Well the "others 16" are indeed much more. 16 Atium alloys and 16 Lerasium Alloys at least. The Lerasium Alloys will turn the burner into a Misting of the metal alloyed with Lerasium instead of a Mistborn. It's unknown the Feruchemical or Hemalurgical Effects. The Atium Alloys produces many and undefined Temporal effects into allomancy (we saw only Malatium or Atium-Gold Alloy), again it's unknown the Feruchemical and Hemalurgical Effects. A Atium-Lerasium alloy will turn a burned into a Seer (Atium Misting) as I explained some lines above, Feruchemical and Hemalurgical Effects are unknown Edited April 1, 2018 by Yata
Guest Breaker
wouldn’t there also be harmonium alloys? And what about alloys of godmetals and other godmetals? Trellium alloys? Harmonium and trellium? the possibilities are ludicrously expansive. Edited April 2, 2018 by Breaker
Calderis
I did the math on this once and considering the number of godmetals, the number of alloys of godmetals, and number of normal metal/godmetal alloys, assuming that all shards had invested in Scadrial enough for them to be burned, there would be a potential 1.2 million+ metals, and that's without going into multishard elemental mixtures like harmonium. As far as we know though, only Lerasium, Atium, and harmonium are sufficiently invested enough to work for Allomancy/Feruchemy.

Trellium alloys? Harmonium and trellium? Harmonium may have alloys but given how reactive the godmetal is, it's quite possible that while they may technically be usable they're not really viable in a practical sense. Complex theorized workarounds aside, it's rather hard to use a metal allomantically if it blows up as soon as you swallow it (taking your head with it) or wear it as a metalmind if it explodes as soon as you sweat. As for godmetals by non-Scadrian Shards, Brandon has stated that while they are potentially usable in the Metallic Arts, normally people won't have the Connection to the Shards in question and thus they won't be able to use them. Quote Questioner [PENDING REVIEW] Can an Allomancer burn any god metal? Or is it specifically Preservation and Ruin? Brandon Sanderson [PENDING REVIEW] That is actually a RAFO. There's some funkyness going on there. Footnote: This WoB implies it's necessary for the Shard to Invest in Scadrial and this that without it would be not possible. This WoB seems to outright deny it.source So while the potential number of viable metals is ridiculous, for most purposes we're limited to the sixteen base metals, atium, lerasium, the thirty-two possible alloys of the godmetals+base metals, the atium/lerasium alloy and harmonium. And given how rare atium and lerasium are, it's entirely possible we'll never even see most of the potential godmetal alloys to begin with, though it's been guaranteed we'll see some of them and Khriss raising the topic in the Ars Arcanum was a pretty big hint even in the absence of a WoB.
