Soulcaster questions

Zelly

Question

If a human is soulcast into a material like smoke or stone, it will temporarily retain the memory and experience of being human while its new identity asserts itself.

During this period, is it possible to soulcast the stone back to a person? Using a large amount of investiture?

If it was done immediately, and the soul had not gone beyond probably... The skill required to turn a statue into a fully functional human body is probably prohibitive though.

I hadn't even thought about going beyond.....  If you turn your soul into the soul of an object, would it go beyond or would it join the sea of soulbeads?

The souls of humans are so different from other souls, like how they are represented in Shadesmar as well as what they're capable of, I don't know what rules they follow.

What I believe would happen, is that the soul of the person would not change. Their body would be changed to a statue, and they would no longer be alive, so the person would go beyond, and then the now inanimate object would develop a new Cognitive identity based on the perception of other things, just as most objects develop.

The person would be gone, and a new "soul" would take its place.
