Lepth
In the chapter 50 heading of Oathbringer someone is told to stay away from Obrodai because it has been claimed by a group and their avatar which has a deep dislike of the person that this is written to? Is this a letter to Hoid? And where is Obrodai
Calderis
It is a letter from an Avatar of Autonomy (presumed at this point to be the island Patji from First of the Sun) responding to a letter from Hoid. As to Obrodai, that is the first we've heard the name. So your guess is as good as mine.

RShara
Autonomy likes to create avatars of herself. How she does this and why, we have very little idea. But having multiples of herself is why she talks in plurals lol.
Leyrann
Isn't it also theorized that Obrodai is actually First of the Sun?

Probably, considering this WoB and simple deduction of which worlds we have seen. I highlighted the part relating to this at the end. Quote Yurisses [PENDING REVIEW] Investiture on First of the Sun is associated with a Shard? Brandon Sanderson [PENDING REVIEW] Yes, it is. That one is even closer associated with a Shard, the actual Investiture of the magic. Remember when I say Investiture, I mean matter, energy and magic. Sometimes the word Investiture just to the magic such as the Aviar and in that it is associated directly with one of the Shards... Yurisses [PENDING REVIEW] Which one? Brandon Sanderson [PENDING REVIEW] Patji is a Shard of Adonalsium. *silence* Overlord Jebus [PENDING REVIEW] Sorry, can you say that again? Brandon Sanderson [PENDING REVIEW] Patji is a Shard of Adonalsium Aurimus [PENDING REVIEW] Is that one of the Aviar? Brandon Sanderson [PENDING REVIEW] No that is the island. Overlord Jebus [PENDING REVIEW] Island or islands? Brandon Sanderson [PENDING REVIEW] The island but Patji is one of the islands. Yurisses [PENDING REVIEW] It's a Shard?! Brandon Sanderson [PENDING REVIEW] Yes, big asterisk! But yes. Aurimus [PENDING REVIEW] Shard as in equal or Shard as in a mass of Investiture? Brandon Sanderson [PENDING REVIEW] As in one of the 16 Shards of Adonalsium is represented and involved in First of the Sun. In fact, one of the letters references First of the Sun in this *Indicates Oathbringer* Sorry, I probably killed some theories on that one. Overlord Jebus [PENDING REVIEW] Yup, but by doing that you've confirmed some as well so it's fine! Footnote: The asterisk Brandon is referencing is that Patji is an avatar of Autonomy.source Edited March 24, 2018 by WhiteLeeopard
Calderis
@Leyrann @WhiteLeeopard I can see that argument. I took it differently though. I think that the letter writer is writing from Patji, which is referenced in the water allusions, and that Obrodai is referred to as someplace else. Zelly
Is this the reason that First of Sun has a shardpool without a shard? Autonomy's avatars possibly are able to create/maintain a shardpool? I could also see Hoid being a terrible/wonderful influence on said avatars......He does say at one point that at least one god is worshipping him by accident. Be hilarious if it was one of these avatars, which is why Autonomy has to imbue them with a natural dislike of him.
