“No. But Kaladin, you have to understand. With this sword, someone can do what you can, but without the . . . checks a spren requires.” She touched it, then shivered visibly, her form blurring for a second. “This sword gave the assassin power to use Lashings, but it also fed upon his Stormlight. A person who uses this will need far, far more Light than you will. Dangerous levels of it.”

Given that we now know that Honorblades are 'given' as per WoB, I am curious: what would happen if you had all ten Honorblades? Why do Honorblades feed on Stormlight? What effect does this cause? Can you even have more than one Honorblade? Here's some quick speculation:

Theory: If you had all the Honorblades (having all ten Surges), they'd feed on your Stormlight so much that you would be incapable of Surgebinding.

Theory: The Honorblades are like Nightblood, and are storing Stormlight for powerful use in the future. Kalak remarks that they were weapons of power "even beyond Shardblades" in TWOK. Ishar threatens to kill any Surgebinder who does not accept the Ideals and becomes a Radiant ("as having too great power, he let it be known that he would destroy each and every one, unless they agreed to be bound by precepts and laws."). I imagine you can release the Stormlight stored in them somehow for ridiculously powerful effects if you know what you're doing. I can't imagine Ishar being capable of killing Radiants otherwise, given how bad his Surges seem to have been. (Tension and Adhesion certainly doesn't strike me as good for assassination.)

Theory: If you have more than one Honorblade summoned, your eyes become a shade of color that is a mixture of the two. If you have all ten Honorblades summoned, your eyes become laser beams. (I seriously have no idea and am curious if anyone has ideas.)

Anyone have any other theories we can branch off of the use of Honorblades and their consumption of Stormlight?

I like the idea, but I'm not sure about having more than one(Not that it isn't possible, but it seems unnecessary and silly to throw into the story.)  That said, If Heralds operate like returned(being Superhuman, and being psuedobonded to a shard.) perhaps that's why they can handle Honorblades without consequence.  Syl makes Honorblades seem pretty dangerous to normal folk...

I speculate that Honorblades not only grant Surgebinding but amplify already existing surgebinding abilities. I mean come on .. Kaladin ripped Szeth apart very easily and he just has a Sylshard ( it's not a sword, it's not a spear .. it's a Syl ! ) shouldn't Honorblades be more powerful ?

Not necessarily.  We know that Heralds with Shardblades are more powerful.  We also see a herald catch a pair of blowdarts midflight.  And we know that honorblades need more Stormlight, so Kal as a 3 oath radiant could quite easily have the advantage.

* Taln caught that blowdarts with no stormlight. Kal w/o stormlight would not have been able to do that.

* W/o honorblades, heralds are still alive.

So it's not just the honorblade, is also the heralds.

I agree that the Heralds are also special, at the moment I'm wondering if they have a way to produce their own stormlight or something, which would give them a higher capacity than a KR and subsequently be very good users of an honour blade.
