macros he/him Posted March 4, 2014 Posted March 4, 2014 So we now know darkness is nalan. I read in an early thread about the origins of the heralds. Menacekop pointed out that the essence of nalan sort of goes along with the magics of nalthis. We know from the szeth point of view that nalan is in possession of nightblood. Does this add further evidence to nalan being from nalthis, or do you guys think he obtained it from a worldhopper?

Awesomeness Summoned he/him Posted March 6, 2014 Posted March 6, 2014 I agree with Marianmi, it is far more likely that Zaher (Vasher) brought the sword to Roshar and Nalan took it from him at some point. @Pattern: He directly states that he revived Szeth using a fabrial (likely some form of regrowth) so having breath is unnecessary.
