So I noticed while reading Oathbringer that May Aladar is described almost the exact same way as Vin. So maybe Sazed found out how bring her back?

Vin went Beyond. She's dead and not coming back ever.

I am aware, however Sazed was talking about how it might be possible later on.

Seeing someone go Beyond is as close as we are going to get to Brandon saying someone is deader than dead.

Sorry, Vin is dead and not coming back.  That was made pretty clear--she doesn't WANT to come back.

We'll have to wait til Mistborn space era where Sazed makes a Vin mind clone attached to a computer... (Please don't do this Brandon)

There is this WoB that could shed some light.

Will we ever meet Elend and Vin again?

Brandon Sanderson

Elend and Vin have had their stories told.

With Brandon not coming right and responding with "No, you will not see them again" it does leave things with some ambiguity. This also what he does when he doesn't want to e nailed down to answer because he hasn't decided yet. However, if we do in fact see them again, it could be in a flashback. Could be why Brandon gave the answer he did. Yes you will see them again, but they will have no further arcs, they'll be in other characters flashbacks or discussions.

We saw Vin's story from inciting incident to death and the Beyond. That WoB says that the story has been told.

She's gone.

Flashbacks for any character that would have been alive at that point would also either be dead, or moved on  to a point that new scenes of Vin are not going to be of pertinent information to the present.

Mistborn spoilers.

Spoiler

I mean really, the only options are Sazed, Marsh, Kel, and TenSoon.

I don't see that happening for any of them. Not things we haven't already seen.

Let Vin and Elend have their peace. They've earned it.

Oh, I agree. I was just saying that there was some ambiguity in his answer, and a possible reason as to why.

And I just now realized that the WoB I posted was from 2011. Before Secret history was published. The ambiguity is probably due to Vin's appearance in the book. Her same ending, just from a different viewpoint.

I feel like almost everything in here should have spoiler tags because this isn't a Mistborn forum...

Yeah, probably.

Sazed can demonstrably provide copies of her body for Kandra to eat, so they could look like her.

But why would he do that?  She's happy and her story is done.  Doing that seems super disrespectful.

Not to mention the grief doing something so disrespectful to someone he so clearly admired and loved, would cause to Sazed - god or not.
