Felt he/him
I've been thinking about starting the Witcher Series by Andrzej Sapkowski. Anybody read it? Any pros or cons? Thanks
Ammanas
I read the first two and though they were pretty good. I was hoping for him to take another step in the writing and story which I didn't see. I will probably finish it one day, but at the moment it is on the back burner. He has a very passionate following, especially in Europe, so I say definitely give it a shot. Sometimes I will revisit a book and change my opinion so keep that in mind with my criticisms.

Felt he/him
Thanks @Ammanas As I understand the first two books are short stories, then 5 novels follow. Personally I don't like translated books, so I read in Dutch or English, but lots of people recommended this series so I'll give it a try... What I don't understand is if it's that good, how come just few people on the Shard know about it... I'll let you know what I think when I finish it

Cosmernaut
It’s a pretty good series. The thing is, you have to read it for what it is. Some people go into it expecting a tone like LotR or some other fantasy series only to come out disappointed. But if you go into it to read about a monster slayer tied up in destiny’s plans in a fairytale world, then you’ll end up happy. If you’ve played the game, the stories match up fairly well with the general tone. Some official book translations aren’t as “pretty” as some fan translations though. An example is how a character uses the phrase “stars in a gladed pool” in a fan translation whereas the official translation says something along the lines of “starry skies in a very still lake.” Still an interesting series either way.
Oversleep
I love it. But I can't vouch for translations to carry over everything perfectly though
