Hi everybody,

 

I am new to 17th Shard and looking forward to discuss Cosmere theories, especially concerning Stormlight Archive.

 

I came to Brandon Sanderson books via The Wheel of Time series, after liking his ending the series.

Having read WoK afterwards, I was left with a little confusion especially due to the letter in chapter headings, so I bought other Cosmere books. At this point I have read Mistborn-Trilogy, Alloy of Law, Elantris, Warbreaker, The Way of Kings and Words of Radiance - yes, I had early delivery in Germany, the Almighty knows why ;-)

 

Without spoiling anything - I chose Pattern as my account name, since Pattern is my favourite in Stormlight so far - well excepting the main characters.

 

So, thats it for now. Have to reread a little...

Welcome to the 17th Shard! Have you read Brandon's short stories? There are bunches around.

Are you excited for Words of Radiance?

No, I haven't read Brandon's short stories - I am a fan of epic books. Everything that takes less than 6 hours to read is somewhat a "snack" for me. Even novellas leave the feeling of "Oh that's the end, it just began...."

 

Am I excited for Words of Radiance? Well I waited long for it, and waiting was rewarded abundantly.

I will reread The Way of Kings and Words of Radiance during the next week, because I am excited to ask questions and to contribute some ideas to theories about all that stuff, thats been revealed. Somehow have to refill my mind with early information and countercheck with all the great stuff from Words of Radiance. For now I will wait, so I won't spoil anything for you.
