Wayland Stormborn he/him Posted November 29, 2017 Posted November 29, 2017 Hi there, my name is Wayland Stormborn. It's been a long time since I have been a part of a forum (if anyone from the UG still exists, here I am), so forgive me (for a while) my etiquette, or lack thereof. I am an aspiring writer, chemical engineer, and linguist (I intend to have working knowledge of 14 languages by the time I am 78) My favorite Shakespeare comedy is Twelfth Night, my favorite tragedy is Macbeth. I just took a quiz and I am apparently a Bondsmith (news to me, but I'll take it) 2
MacThorstenson he/him Posted November 30, 2017 Posted November 30, 2017 Welcome to the 17th shard!! Have a delicious safe* free cookie from the Dark alley Bakery as a welcoming present. A quick question, how many of Brandon's Books have you read? * usual DA disclaimer applies.
Wayland Stormborn he/him Posted November 30, 2017 Author Posted November 30, 2017 As far as the Cosmere is concerned, I have read TWoK, WoR, Mistborn Era 1, Alloy Of Law, Shadows of Self, Elantris, Emperor’s Soul, and Warbreaker. Outside of Cosmere, I’ve also read the Rithmatist. 1
MacThorstenson he/him Posted November 30, 2017 Posted November 30, 2017 Nice. Which is your favorite? Personally I love Mistborn because of the many Magic systems present in that series. 2
Wayland Stormborn he/him Posted November 30, 2017 Author Posted November 30, 2017 Mistborn was my first, so it will always have a special place in my heart (especially because I stumbled upon them by mistake haha). 2
MacThorstenson he/him Posted November 30, 2017 Posted November 30, 2017 Check out the Dark Alley if you ever want a place to discuss the intricacies of hemalurgy baking with us.
ryshadium90 Posted November 30, 2017 Posted November 30, 2017 @Wayland Stormborn Twelfth Night! My school is putting that on in a few weeks! What did you think of Hamlet? How many languages can you speak now? 1
Wayland Stormborn he/him Posted November 30, 2017 Author Posted November 30, 2017 @ryshadium90 no way! My friend’s school is doing it, too, next semester! I speak English and have a passable knowledge of Spanish, nearing fluency (I hope) but not quite there
Quickbronze he/him Posted November 30, 2017 Posted November 30, 2017 Er yes the Dark Alley is a group of insane hemalurgists who put spikes into their baked goods and then give them to unsuspecting newcomers
