Ok, so at the end with Hoid, my first assumption was that the Cryptic spren he rescues was Elokhar's spren. But, that just begs the question of why the Fused were apparently tearing the palace apart looking for it and why Hoid knew he had to be there to rescue it. I mean, its sad. Elokhar was literally seconds away from becoming a Radiant, saving his son and being the King he always hoped he could be before he was murdered. But, why does it matter?

Thoughts?

I think the Fused are looking for something else.

As for how Hoid knows things, anyone's guess is as good as anyone's. Hoid collecting different forms of investiture is some kind of longterm plan that we may not understand for a looooong time, but him gaining a Nahel bond is really not surprising to me (and imo being a Lightweaver, specifically, fits him well).

I hope we will get to know some of the juicy truths that Hoid will tell his new spren.

I think perhaps the Fused are looking for Sja-Anat. Odium must know by this point that she's a traitor, right?

This thread suggests they are looking not for Sja-anat, but for Ba-Ado-Mishram.

And I Also want to know all Hoid's sekrets.....

If the little Cryptic wasn't the focus, why bother at all to have Elhokar and his not-really spren go there? We saw the search through Moash's PoV, there was no need to send Hoid to the rescue for the sake of seeing the fused looking for something.

I don't really understand the question. Elhokar was there because he was trying to save his family and reclaim Kholinar.

Hoid's chapter wasn't to see the fused looking for something, it was to see him picking up the Cryptic. Those two things don't have to be related just because they are at the same location.

I can see from a narrative perspective that it might be confusing that a couple different plot points all piled up on the Palace, despite being unrelated. But considering how deeply involved the Kholins have been in these events, it's really not a stretch.
