Hello everyone! To be completely honest, I made an account to get the Aether of Night copy, but then I thought now that I'm here, I might as well talk to people and discuss about the Cosmere. I started reading Sanderson's novels earlier this year, but now I can't stop reading. I've only read the Mistborn books so far -currently starting Shadows of Self-, but as soon as I finish these books I'll start reading The Stormlight Archive.

I started reading  Mistborn because I was intrigued by the complex magic system, and the way Steelpushing and Ironpulling applied physics to a magical world. But then I realised I could see a part of myself reflected in almost every single character in the first Mistborn Trilogy, and after that I couldn't put the books down. Breeze is my favorite character so far, not because of his actions or his skills, but because of the way he thinks and speaks.

I think I should've said this first: I'm a 23 year old game developer, sound designer and music producer from Argentina. I'd also love to be a writer: I've been writing short stories since I was 5 years old, and I'd love to write a full novel someday, though between university and three jobs I haven't found a lot of time to write in the last 2 years. I'm usually very shy, so I try not to talk too much, but we all love Sanderson's books, so I'll definitely stay around here.

I look forward to talking with you all some more in the future!

Yes, Mistborn is absolutely amazing, and it was my introduction to the Cosmere as well. But I'd actually suggest reading Stormlight Archive last, after you've read the rest of the Cosmere. There's so many hints from the other books that you can try and catch, and you'll completely miss out on those without having finished everything else.

After Mistborn, I'd recommend reading Mistborn: Secret History, which is one of the short stories in Arcanum Unbounded. After that, I'd recommend reading Elantris, which is Brandon's first published book, then Warbreaker, which can be found for free on Brandon's website.

Of course, that's my recommendation, but you can read Stormlight first, if you want. Either way, welcome to the site and enjoy the Cosmere!

Glad to have you here! I agree that Mistborn is amazing. I daydreamed about steelpushing for weeks after reading it the first time, but I especially loved that the core of the story was about Vin learning to trust.

I look forward to discussing more books with you!

Thanks for the cookie! I may or may not be hearing Kelsier's voice now...

I'll take the recommendation @StrikerEZ, thanks! I just wanted to read The Stormlight Archive because I had heard of the Shardblades and the concept looked really interesting to me. Anyway, I'll try to follow the order you said. It's not so easy to find Sanderson's books in Argentina, specially since I read them in english because I love the language.

@ccstat, I agree completely, coinshots are amazing! Emotional Allomancy is pretty cool, too. And the story was amazing, it impressed me how real the characters felt, I think Sanderson really nailed that. I must say, though, that I can't feel the same connection with Wax and Wayne. I really like the story, and the characters and likeable and well written, but Kelsier's crew has a special place in my heart.

Yeah, the Stormlight Archive is definitely really cool, and you do need to read it. :P

Personally, I found it more fun to read it last because then I was able to catch all of the little secrets.

I agree with @StrikerEZ, you should wait until you've at least read Elantris, Warbreaker, and probably White Sands before getting into Stormlight Archive, but that being said you're going to tremendously enjoy your journey to Roshar as much as you enjoy the destination :D

Well, thanks to you guys I'm going to spend my weekend trying to get The Bands Of Mourning, Arcanum Unbounded, Elantris and Warbreaker. Yeah, all of them at once. I may have more debts than House Tekiel, but I'm still going to buy them all.

Thanks! :D
