Nathrangking he/him Posted July 30, 2017 Posted July 30, 2017 (edited) As @Calderis correctly pointed out the foreign nature of Shadesmar makes it rather dangerous to someone who is unfamiliar with the rules of the realm. Spoiler The way in which Shallan and Jasnah nearly drown is a pretty good indicator of the danger which is involved in entering this realm unprepared possessing the powers of an Elsecaller which allows the rules to bent makes it easier for survival to occur. Watchcry he/him Posted July 30, 2017 Author Posted July 30, 2017 True. And I know Elsecallers are the masters of Shadesmar but with Willshapers being the explorer/adventurer types, that I've always assumed they would explore and become more familiar with shadesmar more so than elsecallers but I guess they will utilize their surges simply to explore the physical realm by transporting instantaneously to various locations instead of shadesmar itself.

The potential dangers of Shadesmar may be a lure, but I would say that this fact would as you have said be no more true of shadesmar than the real world.
Velvet Thunder he/him Posted July 31, 2017 Posted July 31, 2017 Quote Q: And when they leave the cognitive realm their physical self just leaves the cognitive realm the same...A: Yep, mhm, yep.Q: Perfect.A: Basically you’re transferring into investiture and popping out of investiture, so... Does that mean that someone/thing could absorb you with the investiture if it absorbed it while you were there..?
