Good morning everyone!

I created an account here just so I could ask this question.

I receive updates about Brandon Sanderson and a couple of other authors through Google Alert's. Every now and then I am sent a mail with this sort of link:

https://www.virgin.com/sites/virgin.com/files/business-plans/giuzzo_download_read_brandon_sandersons_white_sand_volume_2_getting_free_ebooks.pdf

if you're afraid to click the link, what it is is a pdf download for as you can see today it's White Sand Volume 2.

It looks shifty to me. So my question is, is it shifty?

Nice to meet you all have a great day.Off to work with me :)

Yeah, it's shifty alright.

Whether or not it's real is a different question, I'm leaning towards no but I truly don't know.

However, as Brandon has not announced anything, It is not authorized.

@PeterAhlstrom should be notified for sure, perhaps @Chaos as well.

I think that's it.

Edit: official release date is November 14th. It is not real.

It's a fairly normal marketing Strategy. Customer shows up at store for Oathbringer, sees that another Sanderson project is also available and hopefully picks it up as well.

Use one item to boost sales of the other and vice versa.
