Shardplate and allomancy

We do know this: It is very, very hard to affect any invested object with allomancy. Be it feruchemical metal minds or shardblades or invested shardplates. So, I do not think it is easy for an allomancer to affect shardplate.

As for emotions, I don't think so. We have no reason to think it will protect the wearer from emotional allomancy. Or if there is one, I am missing it.

Being in plate creates an investiture envelope around the wearer, making most things hard to effect them.

WoB says that lashing a person in shardplate who was not wearing their helmet would still be difficult. Less difficult than trying to lash through the plate, but there would still be pushback from that investiture bubble.

If there would still be pushback to surge that would require you to be physically touching the wearer, I feel like emotional Allomancy would be pretty well defended against.

Emotionally Allomancy primarily functions in the Cognitive Realm though, and I'm unsure of shardplates level of protection there, so while I'll stand by my initial thought, I acknowledge that I could be totally wrong. Emotional Allomancy may bypass plate in the Cognitive Realm, but I don't think that's the case.

I think the Plate (if the helmet is at Its place) will offer resistance (or immunity) to Emotional Allomancy, in the same way Alluminium foiled hat provides

Yes, I definitely agree with this. It's hard to affect invested metal, and I'm pretty sure that Emotional Allomancy will be blocked as a result.

It would probably depend on the strength of the Allomancer. Someone as strong as Rashek might be able to push on plate to a significant degree, maybe Lerasium Allomancers too.

And if that wasn't enough they could use Duraluminum to enhance their Allomancy further.

Hey, I lurk a lot but have never actually posted.

Do we have any WoB on how emotional allomancy would interact with plate?

I understand that such a highly invested object would help to insulate someone against lashings and other similar manifestations of investiture, but to my mind brass/zinc allomancy would work on a similiar principal to the thrill, since both influence emotions.

And we know people wearing plate still feel the thrill.
