Lord Bookwyrm he/him Posted April 13, 2017 Posted April 13, 2017 So, I've saved up enough money to buy both parts of any Stormlight Archive book. So, the question is, which one? I've already read the Way of Kings, since it's in my school library, so should I get Words of Radiance or wait for Oathbringer to come out? 2
Weltall Posted April 13, 2017 Posted April 13, 2017 Well, since Oathbringer isn't going to be out for another seven months and you have to read Words of Radiance first anyways...
Lord Bookwyrm he/him Posted April 13, 2017 Author Posted April 13, 2017 The book's probably going to be in the library soon, since a couple of people have suggested it (requests for books that aren't in the library yet), it's probably going to be in the library soon. 1
dayman Posted April 13, 2017 Posted April 13, 2017 Just email Sanderson and tell him you are poor...I bet he sends you a paperback. 1
Toaster Retribution he/him Posted April 13, 2017 Posted April 13, 2017 You could wait a bit, an see if WoR comes to the library. If it doesnt, you buy it. And Oathbringer is in November, so you might be able to save enough money until then.
Ammanas Posted April 13, 2017 Posted April 13, 2017 Does it really matter? Its going to be another 30 years or so before the series is completed. Plenty of time to save up and buy the complete series before the series reaches its conclusion. 1
CosmereQuestioner Posted April 13, 2017 Posted April 13, 2017 I would recommend words of radiance since it is now out in paperback. Oathbringer will be rather expensive in hardcover for the first several months before the paperback is released. So if money is tight, WoR will save you money.
quadbox Posted April 14, 2017 Posted April 14, 2017 It really wouldnt be a good idea to try and read them out of order. Each book's had enourmous spoilers for previous books (and hell, Edgedancer has huge spoilers too)
