Most of the sprens in that we have seen so far can only make bonds if their host are loyal to some promises . Even the Listeners need to change their mindset before changing their form ( Or something like that from one of the dialogues between venli and eshonai . ) . We know that sprens kind of Disapper or Die when KR break their oaths . So, it is possible void spren also might have same structure. I wonder what it might be ? And is it possible that a change of mind might cause void sprens to die.  .

Are you referring to the spren that the Listeners/Parshendi bonded with?

my wife and i were kind of playing with the idea that if Eshonai gets locked in a room with nightblood, she would be drawn and pick him up and he would consume the voidspren, and then she would throw him away in revulsion... Instafix.

@Darkness That would be one way to solve a voidspren infestation. I'm not sure how practical it would be as we can count on one hand the number of people known to pass the 'Nightblood test' (everyone else suicides) and it drains Investiture at an increasing rate and then drains the life of the user once there's no Investiture to feed on so you'd have to let go of the thing really quickly.

We know that the Listeners bonds require some level of acceptance on the part of the person undergoing the bond (even if they didn't intend the specific result) and we have Word of Brandon that even a Parshman could resist being forcibly bonded to a voidspren if they really resisted it from the start. We don't yet have any indication that it's possible to 'kill' a voidspren bond in the way that the Radiants did during the Recreance (though if Eshonai is still alive and bonded to hers in Oathbringer, she'd be the best candidate to demonstrate if and how it could be done) but as long as they operate on a similar principle to Radiant-spren, it's hypothetically possible that you could get something similar to the Recreance with them. We just have no clue how that might be done yet. Though I've seen some really interesting speculation that the Bondsmith abilities might have something to do with the creation of the Parshmen and their inability to bond with spren.

Also, welcome to the Shard!

I think it has already happened. Listeners spoke of how they got free of their gods at great expense and sacrifice. The lost the forms they knew and only somewhat rrecently started rediscovering them.

I don't think that is what they meant by sacrifice. May be all the listeners in the Void forms just died in every desolation and only those in normal forms were left . As the death of a KR doesn't kill the spren , the voidsprens lived on . I dont think odium can afford loosing so many sprens in every desolation . And loosing all listeners can also be risky for his plan . So, he did not give all the Listeners Void forms so, that they can be used in next desolation . So I still think this has not happened before .

Your theory is pretty cool, nice catch. But...

Time for some honesty. The main reason I opened this thread is because you misspelled spren and it looked like sperm. Sorry if that offends you or anuthing. I just thought some honesty is due.

And maybe voidspren ARE parshendi:

Maybe they are voidspren grounded in physical forms
