What happens to an object with breath stored in it?

I'm talking about the three realms here. What happens cognitively? Spiritually? Where is the investiture held?

I can't speak to the Spiritual Realm, but on the Cognitive, I imagine it would have an inner glow similar to how metals do on Scadrial. The Investiture symbolizes power, and provides the glow.

On the Physical, I don't think much would happen until it gets a lot of Breath. At that point, I figure it would behave a little like Shardplate or a mostly-filled Metalmind: invisible to steelsight(assuming it's a metal object) and maybe even have some resistance to wear and tear

Investiture is way different in the Spiritual Realm than the others. That's mainly because nobody there can project it. Identity, however, can be, though I don't know how.
