Opinions on my new rig

Hidy ho all,

I wanted to see what everyone thought of my new machine, I'm planning on building next month.  I've done a fair amount of research, and I'm trying to keep the price right around $1,000.

As I said, I did a fair amount of research, but you never know what another person will look at, and see as good/bad.  Here's the list, let me know what you think!  Good or bad.

Looks decent. I've built my own computer in the past, though I wouldn't call myself an expert.

I've got two questions though: First, why are you taking windows 8.1 as your OS? Secondly, what are you using your computer for? Depending on your intended use, the processor might be overkill.

Also, I assume you've got a sizeable case? I've got the same CPU cooler you've chosen, and it only just fit in my case, though that was a small one to start with.

What do you think about waiting for AMD Ryzen to be released and benchmarked to see how that affects prices on the market?

That's where the controversy comes in, AMD is kinda notorious for both optimization and support but as long as you like everything AMD has to offer then your good. (every other choice looks great.)
