That happens to me all the time. As far as I've seen it doesn't mean anything.

Did anything explode when the anti-notification met a notification? Did they annihilate?

Anti-notification? I've never seen that happen before. Then again, it's probably just from the mobile version. Amusing, though.

My tablet had negative-one email for a couple of weeks until it reset when I changed my account up.

Oh, don't be ridiculous, negetive emails are when the Dark Lord of  Dark Darkness and Dark Shadows sends you emails. Happens all the time. Well-known fact.
