Obbles
So I don't usually post on boards.. Tend to lurk. This community has made me break that pattern Got into it through WoT (like so many, I'm sure) - wolfed down Mistborn first of all, completely oblivious to the Cosmere as a whole.. And for a long while I didn't manage to get into Stormlight 1. damnation that was a mistake, once I got into the meat of it I couldn't put it down! Now I'm at that stage of my interest in something where I want to find out EVERYTHING. This is proving difficult, there's just so much - I don't mean the books, have only got a couple of bits of Arcanum Unbounded to hit before I've exhausted all the published Cosmere stuff. I'm currently reading all of the transcripts of the signings and such on Theoryland, and now I want to read ALL of the books again to catch all the stuff I'd missed Anyway that's all for now.. Hopefully I'll manage to throw off my lurkers cloak, we will see
A Budgie
Hello, and welcome to the part of the shard where you actually talk. Yeah, when you first discover the cosmere the first thing you learn is that you have a lot to learn- I was lucky in that I found out about the cosmere before I read the Stormlight books. Anyway, if anyone offers you cookies, I would advise you to be careful, although as a lurker you may already know this.

I sort of did the same thing you did, in reference to reading that is. I discovered the cosmere after reading the original Mistborn Trilogy, Era II, WoK, most of WoR, and Elantris. That kinda sucked. I also discovered it through a kind of round-about way. I was reading Secret History at the same time as I was reading WoR, and noticed the name Nazh in both books. Hoid didn't tip me off, nope it was Nazh and his unique name. Did something specific tip you off to the existence of the cosmere? I basically did the same thing you're doing after reading Stormlight. I had to find out anything and everything Anyway, see you 'round the site! If you have questions, feel free to PM me or just give me shout.
Obbles
Sadly I didn't notice it on my own After finishing Final Empire I (very stupidly) chose to check out what TVTropes had to say about it.. This was where I found out about the wider universe, but didn't go too far into it at that point. The reason this was a stupid course of action, was because I had spoilers unhidden, and I saw who would be the hero of ages. This didn't bother me much, until I actually got to the point in the story where that mattered most, and I realised I'd spoiled a pretty special moment. Sufficed to say I no longer read TVTropes until I'm up to date on a series now! Thanks for all the welcomes, once I have useful things to say I'll definitely join the discussions. For now I have to consume all of the things and catch up to where you all are!
