Question

So, my brother is reading FE (he he lamp) and I was talking about Wax and Wayne and he said "Those are the names? I'm not reading it!" I asked why, and to my surprise, it was because of waxing and waning moons. Am I the only person that didn't realize this amazing joke?

Brandon has a very firm stance on this definitely not being a joke.

Brandon: I don't know what you're talking about. Scadrial doesn't have a moon.

I didn't realize the joke until half way through AoL. It's made even better when you learn that Scadrial doesn't even have a moon.

Oh wow, I didn't even think of that until after BoM. Also, I agree, that does make it a lot better

I didn't get it until I saw somebody quoting a joke Brandon made about it here on 17th Shard. So no, you're definitely not the only one who had to be clued in.

The words don't just apply to the moon, they're just other words for increasing and decreasing really, although we don't use those words much on everyday language.

I got the pun, after a while, but it didn't click that Scadrial didn't have a moon. So I guess that works as a gag.
