Salute from an Argentinian based on Japan

Nikto

Recommended Posts

Hello there! I'm Nico, 31 years old, Argentinian, web programmer and living currently in Tokyo. I'm a fantasy enthusiast and love Brandon's work and his passion and thoughts about writing, and I don't know why took me so long to register here in first place. But I'm here now.

I'm part of the fantasitura.com forum's crew, a Spanish forum for aspiring fantasy writers and passionate readers.

Hope to read from you soon.

Thanks!

Hello Nikto/Nico! Have an upvote for joining us. Would your name happen to be a reference to the Star Wars species of the same name?

A little note: some of the more shady users on these forums will offer you cookies. These cookies are filled with (Mistborn HoA spoiler)

Spoiler

Hemalurgic spikes

So unless you want your life Ruined, I'd suggest leaving them be.

Back off for all of them, then! Thanks for the head's up ^_^. Is good to start with the right foot here. So no cookies for me, thank you.

My nickname is actually an "evolution" of my oldest nickname that I've used in my childhood, Nikito. But just made a research and is actually a better story to be related to that specie, so I may ask you to take it now, haha.

Talk soon!

Hey, welcome to the forums! Always nice to have another member. Have an upvote :)

What type of web development do you do? HTML? Or more backend stuff? I'm an aspiring computer scientist, so it's cool to see someone who does it professionally

Oh, and I have a compromise on the cookie thing. Take them through metal detectors before you eat them. If they don't set it off, you should be safe :P

Hey @Bugsy6912, thanks for the advice. The metal detector is a good one. I will order now, before try all those different offered to me (BTW, @Secrets, those looks great).

About web development I'll focus on HTML, CSS and JavaScript (mostly frontend technologies as they are called), but also do some backend as python, NodeJS, PHP and so on. Actually I moved to Japan for work, as a new office was opening of the company I'm working for. There is a lot of great opportunities in the programming world, so feel free to ask me anything Bugsy.
