Jofwu he/him Posted September 7, 2016 Posted September 7, 2016 The second to last paragraph in the Highstorm article states that modern Stormwardens believe there are multiple storms constantly circling the planet. Quote Vorin mythology claims that each storm is born in the east at the Origin before traveling west across Roshar, but modern Stormwardens believe there exist a set number of highstorms that travel around the planet, with the length between the storms decided by the speed they travel during that time of the year.[14] But the referenced text in WoR chapter 87 (in Shallan's section, just after she approaches Dalinar) states they believe there is just one storm. Quote None of them knew what would happen next. Would it round the world and come crashing into the western coast? Were the highstorms all one storm that rounded the planet or did a new one start at the Origin each time, as mythology claimed? Scholars and stormwardens thought the former, these days. It seems to me that the article on Coppermind should read: Quote ... but modern Stormwardens believe there exists a single highstorm that travels around the planet, with the length between storms decided by the speed it travels during that time of year. 2
skaa he/him Posted November 25, 2016 Posted November 25, 2016 Fixed. I'd like to invite you to contribute directly to the Coppermind by editing articles yourself when you have time. There aren't many contributors so sometimes issues stay unfixed for a long time (such as in this case). 2
Joe ST he/him Posted November 25, 2016 Posted November 25, 2016 thanks @jofwu for noticing this and @skaa for actually updating the article :D. I think jofwu recently started editing so \o/
