Assassin in Burgundy he/him Posted August 1, 2016 Posted August 1, 2016 Okay, I was bored, so I decided to start a forum game. The rules are simple. Someone will post a 15 word or less description of a book, movie, or whatever. Then people will try and guess it. Whoever does gets to post the next description. For Mistborn, it might be "Street urchin gains magic powers to overthrow oppressive government with others like her." I will start. Farm boy takes father's sword and avenges beggar's death by overthrowing galactic empire.

Orlion Blight he/him Posted August 1, 2016 Posted August 1, 2016 A rat and mole mess about with boats, a toad steals a car. Lessons learned.

WayneSpren he/him Posted August 1, 2016 Posted August 1, 2016 So...does @Magestar post a question now, or should I?
Magestar he/him Posted August 1, 2016 Posted August 1, 2016 I probably should have, I just got distracted. @WayneSpren can go if he has one; I can't think of anything good off the top of my head.
WayneSpren he/him Posted August 1, 2016 Posted August 1, 2016 K. Dude goes to throw his uncles jewelry into a hole in the ground. 2

Sunbird she/her Posted August 2, 2016 Posted August 2, 2016 Ok I guess it's my turn. Girl becomes the thing she hates and ends up saving the world. (This describes the series, rather than a single book.)
Ecthelion III he/him Posted August 2, 2016 Posted August 2, 2016 Hunger Games? (I haven't read that in forever)

Ecthelion III he/him Posted August 4, 2016 Posted August 4, 2016 The "saving the world" part doesn't help us any. What's a book where the protagonists don't save at least one world?
Sunbird she/her Posted August 4, 2016 Posted August 4, 2016 @Ecthelion III Heh, true. Ok, revised description: Girl becomes the thing she hates but resists becoming a true monster.
Sunbird she/her Posted August 5, 2016 Posted August 5, 2016 @DSC01 I have never even heard of Worm, so no. Hint: when I said the girl resists becoming a true monster, my choice of the word monster was very deliberate. Hint 2: the names of the girl and her main love interest start with A and Z. (Not telling which is which for now, though.)
Sunbird she/her Posted August 11, 2016 Posted August 11, 2016 More hints? There are vampires. The author is female, and it's a trilogy released since 2010.
Sunbird she/her Posted August 12, 2016 Posted August 12, 2016 (edited) @Assassin in Burgundy Nope, sorry. That has 4 books. What do you all think? Did I pick something too difficult or that nobody has read? Do you want me to just post the answer so we can move on? Edited August 12, 2016 by Sunbird
