Nepene he/him
Quote One of the most beautiful experiences I’ve had in gaming happened when the group got beyond competing to see whose character was the toughest. When I was younger, we all worried about who was ‘winning’ or who had the highest level. Then, one game, a wise GM (or ‘Narrator’ as the role is called here) forced us to play with one character awesomely more powerful than the rest of us. Suddenly, it wasn’t about beating the other players — it was about working together to maximize the use of this character’s incredible abilities. The game became immensely fun. It’s not always appropriate to play this way, but I strongly suggest not paying too much attention to who gets the most Advancements or who’s the most powerful. In the end everyone will enjoy themselves much more that way. Brandon Sanderson, mistborn rpg. How would people feel about a Wax quest, with multiple people being able to decide and vote on his actions? In this it would be where he had at the end of the novel decided to Keep the bands of mourning so he could wipe out and destroy the Set. Using standard mistborn rpg rules. You'd control Wax and House Ladrian and be able to decide on various actions he could take, personally handling problems or dispatching people to do so, working with Wayne and others. I think in six days (6 months after January 26th) this forum will be merged and spoiler issues will be ended, although if not then any such roleplay would presumably need to be consigned to this forum or something. Not sure exactly how that would work. This post is put here since it's a topic mostly about spoilers of an ongoing series, and, while a roleplay, is bound to have lots of talk of spoilers of the series and as such I'd assume this is the default board for posting. This is the rpg's guide to roleplaying Wax. Note that the mistborn rpg was written with the approval of Brandon and so the idea of roleplaying one of his characters is something he has considered and not veto'd. Quote You are loyal and honorable, with a keen eye for detail and an intuition that serves you well in investigative scenarios. You are also a bit conflicted: while you have a mild disdain for the trappings of high society, you tend to dress more formally than other Roughsfolk and try to uphold the better values of your upbringing. You’re a veteran gunslinger, so you’re not above taking a serious risk if the situation demands it — though you tend to avoid risk if it puts a friend in direct danger. Although you’re an expert marksman, you might falter in hostage situations as you remember what happened to Lessie. You have a sharp wit that’s best paired with your longtime partner, Wayne. You play off of each other’s ideas and intuitions seamlessly — even if, in the execution of your plans, things don’t always go your way. You find yourself being a bit protective of Marasi, although that’s lessened somewhat if Wayne is in the mix as well. Would people be interested in this sort of roleplay?
